This was our first accommodation house on Ireland and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome from Margaret and Rolex the watch dog. We had a double room with ensuite. The property was spotlessly clean, with tea and coffee provided in our room. The ensuite included a bath. Continental breakfast was included in our booking with an extra charge for a cooked breakfast which was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night, and our room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of hot water. There was a place to park our rental car and the property felt very secure. The check-in process was a bit haphazard, but the owner was very sweet and booked us in for dinner down the road. I'm still unsure if breakfast was actually available for an extra fee, but we had already planned an alternative. I would stay again.

For those who need it - Hair dryer rating: 5 stars

We booked the Beaufort House months back for 9 nights B&B. Paid a deposit and confirmed nearer the time. Then due to the ferry being delayed we needed to contact her to inform her that we would be late arriving. In her response she told us unapologetically that she nolonger does breakfast as she is rushed off her feet!! She suggested we went to a local cafe in town for breakfast. This is not what we booked and paid for. Had we known prior to the day of arrival that this was the case we would have booked elsewhere. We arrived at 11pm where a key had been left under the front door mat for us. We both had a shower which was luke warm at best!! We ran the water for a long time but it never heated up. We have since seen a review with a similar complaint. The next morning we introduced ourselves to Margaret who promptly reiterated that she nolonger does breakfast and that we can go the local cafe. We expressed our disappointment in this as it was not what we'd booked. She wasn't the slightest bit sorry and said she had been fair in suggesting a cafe!!! She then went onto say that she was in high demand and encouraged us to leave as she couldn't hold the room for us. We said that we might stay anyway as we have no alternative accommodation. She was so uncaring and unconcerned. I explained that we would go for breakfast and discuss it. During our breakfast we received an email from her telling us that there was a B&B near the cafe that doea breakfast and we shoukd try there. We basically felt as though she couldn't get rid of us fast enough.
Due to this rude and unaccomodating attitude we felt that we couldn't stay there in comfort. So we booked a hotel. We went back to pack, she didn't apologise or even enquire if we had another place to stay. She gave us a refund for the cost of the breakfast and that was that. I have never in all our years of holidaying encountered such a rude, unwelcoming person. If she is too busy to run her guest house without moaning to the guests then she needs to pack it in!!!

You did not stay here. You should not be reviewing my business The couple in question are not telling you all of the facts The were given back all of there deposit because they were not happy because of the breakfast situation I explained in detail to them how extremely busy it is, the room the booked was what they requested the only difference was the breakfast was served up in the local cafe. The price for the nine night stay was reduced to room only. They expressed deep disappointment for not getting breakfast here & I said there was no issue with a refund & I actually found them another guest house so I think maybe get the facts right & possibly let the people in question write the review truthfully.

After a long journey from England when the ferries were disrupted by storm/hurricane Lee I was met by Margaret who told she had cancelled my booking and she had no room for me. Now 9 pm she did phone a few numbers but asked me to leave to find somewhere myself . I am 83. By the time I found a bed it was 11pm and I had travelled 96 miles since landing from the ferry in Rosslare.

It is difficult to know what to do when you have a customer who s credit card declined payment & you can't make contact by phone or email I did try very hard to find a place for you I don't know what else there is to do in these circumstances. Phone numbers & credit cards need to be correct to ensure your booking is safe !!!

Margaret the owner of Beaufort House was a wonderful host and ensured we had everything we needed. There was a pretty terraced area directly outside our room where we could sit out in comfort and have a drink and admire the view and the lovely plants and flowers. A five minute walk away is the Mannions pub serving excellent food. I would highly recommend Beaufort House to anybody looking to stay in the Wexford area of Ireland.

Easy to book and good communication from Margaret (our host).
A lovely room with double doors opening onto the decking & overlooking the garden. It was lovely to sit outside with a glass of wine watching the occasional bat flying by.

Breakfast was very good. Hot, varied & lots of it!

The only tiny niggles were the loo seat & loose shower door. We had to be very careful just in case they didn’t ‘move’ any more. Some milk & a teaspoon would have been nice for our early morning drink.

All in all, we would definitely recommend this B&B

We stayed in the log cabin which was very pleasant and comfortable. The time for check in was 18.00 which I queried as it was too late for us so I got an email from the host saying we could check in anytime from 13.30 which was very helpful. There were no free cancellation options available - I had booked early. The website told me that breakfast was served in the main house. On my arrival I enquired about breakfast, I was asked by the host to show where I had seen this advertised and she told me breakfast hadn’t been provided for two years(I was later able to send the host screen shots of the website advertising breakfast) Inside the room there was a blackboard offering a breakfast tray in the room at extra cost €12.50 consisting of Granola and ham & cheese croissant. My husband requested a croissant without ham for me as I’m a non meat eater. This was refused.
Checkout time was 11.30 am and during our last half out of this time we received 2 phone calls and knocking on our door at 11.25 am. We were out by 11.30 am. We found this intrusive. I have stayed in many places over the years (we are an ‘older’ couple) and have never had this lack of flexibility or intrusiveness before. We readily accepted that breakfast was extra and not served in the main house but to be refused a non meat option is not acceptable in this day and age. I also thinking the website needs to be updated to cover these details as it is very misleading.

I felt very threatened by you especially in your group. Accusing me of misleading you so much so I offered you a full refund but you refused the refund and threatened me with a review to knock my business. Left with my keys & would not answer the phone when I rang. You look after animals but bully people

Margaret was a wonderful host and was extremely welcoming. Exceptionally clean and well decorated room. I stayed for one night with my son who slept on a sofa bed which was very comfortable. I thoroughly recommend Beaufort House for a stay in the New Ross area.
Easily accessible and within walking distance from the town centre.

It was a last minute decision to stop in New Ross so we were lucky to find this guest house. There was a.warm friendly welcome from Margaret. Our room was small but the price was so reasonable and we had everything we needed. The place was immaculately clean and if I was ever in New Ross again I would not hesitate to stay there again.
