Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thoroughly enjoyable night away. Check in was quick and friendly, Anita was lovely. We loved our rooms upstairs and the lovely bathroom products. The spa was very nice, staff were great, we only used thermal suite but next time we will be sure to book treatments. We forgot to book a table for dinner, we all thought the other was doing it, (7 of us!!) but no problem, Alison brought us a drink by the fire while she sorted one for us, on a busy Saturday night this was appreciated. We were looked after by Nicole and Ciara for dinner who were again brilliant, food was delicious and live music rounded the night off. Breakfast was fab too, we got a table together despite it again being busy, a fabulous buffet selection and more lovely friendly staff. Will be returning soon.

A Family stay with children at this hotel. Fantastic family oriented booze hotel. I travel extensively and am blown away by their breakfast service; omelette station, hot and cold food serving… clean, professional friendly staff… in an old style hotel.

Amazing stay once again. such friendly staff, great food and service. We travelled out to hook head and the surrounding peninsula. With it being so close to Dublin we could make for a quick trip away.

A great 2 night stay with friends - we enjoyed an afternoon at the spa which was wonderful, treatments were so relaxing, just what we needed. Dinner was delicious, food in the hotel was top quality with breakfast being a real highlight, the manager serving was excellent. A lovely hotel.

This was advertise through 123.ie on one of their Hotel Deals and from the photos all looked fantastic until we arrived, the photos were obviously taken 10 years ago . We were really disappointed , the Hotel lobby had a musty damp smell and the bar was really dated and not welcoming. We had lunch when we arrived and the food was good but really overpriced. We book a Spa Session and two of the treatment rooms were out of order which was disappointing, as there was only 2 of us using the spa we had it to ourselves, but if you book make sure its not over used. We wanted to book the restaurant for dinner but this only opens Saturday & Sunday, so we eat in the bar again the food was good but extremely overpriced, had a pint of Guinness and at €6.70 this way over priced (had a pint the day before for €5.30 in a local pub) Rooms are ok looks like they have bed recently done up . Breakfast the next day was ok , nothing special just your average buffet style spread Overall was disappointed as this was advertised as a 4* Hotel but in reality is a 3* Hotel and charging 4* prices It would not be on a list of Hotels i would return to

Everything was brilliant but the rooms are too hot. Besides that all was good, no faults. Staffs where nice and accommodating. Pool was nice and warm ,not too cold like some are in these times. Breakfast was good. And there was enough free packing spaces. Will recommend.
