Travelled to New Ross again for a flying visit and once again was blown away with Inishross Guesthouse and owners/operators Bridget and her son Mark. Excellent service. Excellent breakfast and flexibility like no other.
Amazing value for money in the heart of historic New Ross. The house itself is well over 300 years old so it comes with some of the 300 years old house problems So if you’re looking for the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons, we’ll your best go elsewhere. The property is run by a mother (Bridget) and son (Mark) team who have a combined 70 years of experience in the hospitality business. The rooms are clean and very presentable along with a few creaky floorboards. The bathrooms are compact as you would expect in an old establishment and very very clean as well. Breakfast is available from 8am to 10am daily but if you have an earlier or later departure Bridget and Mark will go out of their way to make sure that they can accommodate any request. A typical breakfast consisted of, a range of cereals, yogurt, juice(s), white bread and/or brown bread, full Irish Breakfast so that’s tea or coffee, mushrooms, bacon, two eggs any style, sausages, black and white pudding, beans, tomatoes, where do I stop. If the Full Irish isn’t your boggle then Mark with a little bit of notice can prepare any meal at your request. Eggs Benedict, avacado on toast, waffles, basically anything. Location: Two minute walk to the heart of New Ross and free parking is available upon request. Overall Six Stars!! …
Totally enjoyed our stay the owner was so welcoming warm and friendly our room was spotless could not have asked for more. Now the breakfast was unbelievable such choice everything freshly made have stayed many places but never seen anything like this and Bridget was such a lovely lady I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else when heading that direction again top class
We arrived at Inishross House greeted by Bridget & Mark her Son after a long Journey, what a joy that was, like coming home. Mark took our cases to the wonderful large room, Everything was amazing, spotless, en-suite spotless & little touches that you don't expect. Beds so comfy we even overslept the next morning, no noise best sleep ever. Breakfast was amazing and you must try the pancakes, absolutely delicious along with the full Irish breakfast, your set up for the day. Bridget & Mark made our day AWESOME , thank you, won't leave it so long. Parking was no problem .
Stayed for 1 night while visiting family with my dad and grandmother. Lovely place to stay, rooms warm and comfortable, hosts are wonderful and the best pancakes by far! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
What an amazing place! Bridget and Mark are such good kind and helpful hosts, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is so good. Central location and nice and quiet. Very comfortable rooms. I would highly recommend to stay there. Thanks again Bridget and Mark Garreth
Irishross House in New Ross is a Wonderfull place to stay. The breakfast is amazing - cereal, pancakes, toast, Irish breakfast, yoghurts, fruit juice and as much of the local bread you can eat. Irishross has all the facilities and is in the centre of New Ross. Bridget and her son could not do enough for us. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. I would highly recommend you stay there. We were cousins travelling to see our relations. Not interested in books, DVDs or CDs or baggage storage or horseback riding. Definitely did not need an alarm clock or a car parking facility. Its a great place for business, couples, family, friends and definitely someone travelling alone Overall - great value
I stayed here for one night traveling from Wexford to cork after reading the amazing reviews that popped up on booking.com and hadn’t even planned on staying an extra night of my hols. So glad I did. Bridget is the nicest welcoming hostess I’ve ever met felt like I knew her for years. I wasn’t lucky enough to get parking across the way but was actually glad to get parking where it’s a bit flatter at the top of the hill within walking distance as I am terrified of hills anyways. It’s such a lovely old worldly charming cosy establishment with rich colour schemes and the most unusual furniture and bed linen I’ve ever seen. Every single thing you could need in a bed room including bottle of water which the hotels don’t even provide, takeaway cups for tea and coffee and even a wafer bar. Plenty toiletries also and not just the miniature ones. Lovely cosy throws on the beds also. The TV even had some of the satellite channels which is most unusual. I had the best nights sleep ever. My breakfast table which was huge and not just set for one it was bigger than my kitchen table. It had everything on it so I didn’t have to move. Selection of cereals, yoghurts, brown bread, toast, fruit, orange juice, big pot of tea/coffee cooked breakfast and even a pancake hence I tried them all and was set up for the day. Even though there was other guests I felt like a VIP. Could have stayed chatting all day. Her son / grandson helped me put my huge case into my boot while I was able to quickly double park outside on check out with no problems. Thanks so much to Bridget for an amazing experience.…
I stayed here with a work trip this week. Now I avoid B&Bs and always stay in hotels but this place has changed my mind. Arrived around quart to 8, was able to park for free right outside the B&B. I was greeted by the hosts and I stood and had a lovely conversation with the landlady. She was so warm and welcoming I felt right at ease. Her son arrived and he showed me to my room up on the top floor, the room was a great size, tv was outdated but for the price its great value for money. Facilities wise, tea, coffee in the rooms with travel cups, so you can take a brew with you. A bottle of water and a caramel wafer, I'm lactose intolerant and crohns so I really wanted the wafer but couldn't 😂. En suite was spot on, they provided towels, shower gel and shampoo in the room. Bed was very comfortable and the bed linen felt soft. I had a great night's sleep but had to be up early so didn't grab breakfast, I don't really eat in the mornings anyway but the dining room looked lovely. This was a 10/10 stay for me, I'll definitely be booking here everytime I'm in the Waterford /Wexford area. Thanks so much! Ash, from Sheffield.…
