Highly comfortable rooms. For an extremely good rate had breakfast/dinner/wine included in room rate. Staff very helpful. Only pitfall is location for city as a bit of a walk, but if you’re going to the UPMC WHITFIELD this is an ideal location. Would most definitely stay here again. Also highly recommend steak here it was delicious.
We stayed here for two nights last weekend. By far the best thing about the hotel was a young lady called Autumn who served us breakfast. Waterford Castle or Faithlegg Hotel should look her up and headhunt her. They would be extremely lucky to get her. On the other hand, none of the receptionists who were on duty over the weekend were bothered to raise their heads and say 'Hello' or give us a smile when we passed, never mind ask us how we were getting on. If I owned the hotel, I'd sack them all. Breakfast was very good and on a par, if not better than most 4 star hotels. Our room was quite basic but it was a good size, as was the bed. The pillows were very soft and not to my liking but perhaps other people would have thought they were good. The room looked out over a flat roof and air conditioning ducts - quite noisy and not pleasant to look at. We could hear the people next door when they were in the bathroom! The hotel is located outside of the city which wouldn't suit some people but it suited us well enough. It's on the ring road and was convenient for us to get on the road to Dunmore East, The Mahon Falls and Tramore.…
Booked this hotel last minute for an overnight work trip. I booked online directly on their website and got a €5 discount (better than booking.com rate) Nice welcome when I arrived and was given a voucher for a complimentary drink at the bar as I had booked directly, which was a nice touch. Room was functional, clean, and perfect for an overnight work trip. One small improvement point is that I had to move the bed to charge my phone so more accessible plugs at the bed would be welcome. Had dinner in the bar. Good food, friendly service from the really nice staff. Bar is really well decorated and would be perfect for having a few pints. All covid procedures followed by staff, it was great to see one young staff member politely yet firmly ask a group to wear their masks as they walked around the bar area as they appeared completely unaware or bothered about the guidelines. Check-out was straight forward and simple. Would stay again. Free parking.…
Stayed recently at the Viking Hotel. I could not praise this hotel enough from the minute we arrived we were greeted by a friendly front office team led by annmarie our dinner and breakfast bookings made efficiently. Our rooms were large spacious but most of all spotless sanitizers everywhere all staff wearing masks and instantly made us feel safe but also like we were at home. We dined both nights in the restaurant food was delicious and service was excellent special mention for chloe and Italian gentleman can't remember his name but he was most entertaining but to be fair all the staff were amazing. Thanks so much for the great service and will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work.
I stayed overnight on 31st August a dinner, bed and breakfast deal with my daughter who is a wheelchair. The service from the hotel staff was exceptional. One of the team spotted my struggling to push the wheelchair and overnight bag up a ramp to the entrance. He immediately carried the bag to reception and then to our room. The staff where very attentive with the lift between reception and the restaurant. They were also good to ask if my daughter wanted to stay in the wheelchair or sit in a chair (its the little things that count!) Dinner and breakfast were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. It is also very close the Whitfield Clinic. Highly recommend and would def. stay again.
