Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely hotel built right on the main road by the River Suit. The rooms are well-equipped and very comfortable. Noise is minimal. When I came down with COVID and my tour had to leave me for 3 extra days by myself, the staff was so considerate, checking on me and bringing me anything I needed. No matter which shift was at the desk, I was always treated with great care. As a 71-yr-old traveling alone and not feeling well, that meant a lot.

Super nice, very quaint hotel right on the river. The rooms were comfortable and nicely apportioned, the beds were comfortable. It's in a good location within walking distance of most attractions (10-15 minutes to the Waterford Crystal Factory). Food was very good (breakfast both mornings and dinner one night).

Stopped here for one night whilst on a coach tour of Ireland, what a pity it wasn't longer. Staff friendly, rooms great and food was delicious. Can't believe it is only 3 star. Would definitely reccomend.

Have stayed here twice. My husband is disabled and a big "Thank You" to all the staff who were very friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast and Restuarant food is excellent. Dooleys is close to Train Station and the Bus terminus is across the road from the Hotel. Which is great if you decide to leave your car at home. When we go back to Waterford we Will be staying in Dooleys.

Came through with my dad and brother for an extended family gathering. The staff was Incredibly kind and attentive. They made our gathering, and stay more than perfect. The entirity of the bar staff was on point and up to par with all the pubs we went to around Ireland. Great food and pints! Spent plenty of time chatting up the bar staff with long lost cousins. They were all kind, and let us stay out way later than we should have. If you get the chance, ask for Casey, who was the best service person on our trip around all of Ireland. I'll be coming back as soon as possible because of the amazing people there. Worth every penny, I loved every second.

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night. What let it down for me was the breakfast it was messy. First when we went in we were asked our room number and then told we had to pay for breakfast. But I mentioned it was paid for. They didn't believe me. So they said don't worry we will just have to ask reception. Anyway turned out yes it was paid for. Both got full irish. Toast didn't come. When I asked for it they said they would bring it out. It came out cold. No one came to check if we wanted more tea I had to go get up and ask for it. I had to go find butter for the cold toast and find milk. Tbh I actually wouldn't go back here. I was so looking forward to a night away and breakfast just wasn't up to it for me.
