Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent location and so close to the town. Arthur on the front desk was very friendly and professional. Room was very good and one small problem with the heating was sorted very quickly. Very good breakfast and once more the staff at breakfast were friendly and professional. We enjoyed a night cap in the comfortable bar. Parking within 150 metres and a lovely river walk close by. We will certainly return.

Hotel's Favourite
We spent one night in this very nice hotel. They define themselves as a 3 stars hotel with 5 stars. Actually they did better than most of the 4 stars we stayed during our trip We had a large family room with a nice view on the river. Very good care of the staff, excellent breakfast and very good dinner I would strongly recommend this hotel for families or if you want to visit Sligo region Very competitive price in any case! Congrats to the staff!!!

We stayed here recently during a trip through Ireland. This is a modern hotel with reasonable rates. We had a room with a view of the Garvoge River running directly behind the hotel. There is a pub and restaurant attached to the hotel plus many more options within a short walk. Arthur at the front desk was very personable and helpful. A full Irish breakfast is available. The parking area is small and you'll likely have to park free just down the block. This is a great choice in northwest Ireland.

Comfortable, warm and clean and close to the great nightlife. The bar opening times where a little later than the normal for a hotel and there appeared to be no resident bar for a late drink. No shower cap provided in the shower however the room had tea, coffee and an iron. Staff were attentive. We would visit again.

Arrived after a long drive in awful weather to find an empty reception. Waited a few minutes before deciding to go into the bar and was told someone would be there 'in a couple of minutes'. Initially, I found this a little annoying & unprofessional but I think overall, it went with the laid back vibe of the place. Same can be said of the room - it seemed 'sparse' but maybe it was just spacious. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast space is quite small - but beautiful view. I loudly told I could not sit in the adjoining cafe - but within minutes, others were directed to sit there. Hot food served buffet style but bizarrely, you have to wait to have it handed to you.

Beautiful Hotel, we arrived at the bar for pre dinner drinks. The bar staff were engaging, fun & professional. We dined in the dining room, the food was so tasty, the staff were attentive & friendly. The bar staff were so good they reserved a table in the bar for after our meal. We had a fabulous evening/night. They receptionist arranged a taxi for us. Highly recommended a visit here.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with even more beautiful staff. Everyone is super helpful, friendly and always smiling. From the 3 wonderful ladies at the Reception, to all the FnB service staff, including some HK staff that we meet in the corridors and of course, the fun loving guys and girl at The Mill Bar. My wife and myself visited for 2 nights but we seriously wish we stayed longer. The view from the room is breathtaking. The cleanliness of everything is impeccable. It truly is a 5 star standard hotel with 3 star affordability. We will definitely return there when we visit Sligo because of its location as well. Walking distance to almost everything in the city. You couldn't ask for anything more. Please visit this place to experience true Irish hospitality at its best.
