Lovely clean and very friendly staff. Kitchen was well equipped but had no oven/cooker. A lot of young people like to cook pasta etc. The six dorm on the ground right of front door is a window that people knock on if they are locked out frightened the hell out of me but otherwise had good sleep. Would stay there... More

Paddy and his son Aaron are really wonderful hosts and go to every length to make sure that their guests are taken care of. I had a lovely time and they really looked after me despite my other accomodation falling through. You couldn't find nicer people. Salt of the earth and more. Had a really lovely stay and they give... More

Paddy and his son Aaron were really nice with us, even helped us book the next hostel. We wrote him a email late and he responded immediately. The bathrooms and sheets were clean. And the price was only 18€. I would definitely come back!

We Stayed here after a long day and it was a odd layout to say the least. Damp beds warn and oddly set up bathrooms. I was told they wouldn't live her they lived in a nice house down the road. One step up from the street and I was bitten to death. I couldn't wait to get out of... More

Very unfair review. Done our best to satisfy their needs. Provided a room at short notice. Gave them free parking and a twin room at a very cheap price. We are a hostel not a 5 star hotel. I got alternative accommodation in a hotel but they turned it down. Paddy More

I spent four days, found it incredibly convenient to town and bus station (just around the corner). Paddy was so considerate and nice. I liked him very much. Two little oddities were that there is no stove, but with a bit of imagination I didn't starve. I hope that will change sometime. Also, the five bed dorm room had a... More

Location, facilities, hospitality. The Railway Hostel, SligoTown has it all in abundance. A great place to stay if you want to explore all that County Sligo has to offer. Thanks again Paddy for your hospitality and will definitely be coming back.

I've stayed here on a couple of occasions when in town for Rovers v Sligo. Place is ideally located, beside the bus and railway station and just off the main road into Sligo, minutes from the town centre. The hostel itself is great value for money, very clean and great facilities. The owner is very welcoming and shows you around... More

Havent stayed in a hostel for years. This one is a nice old place; clean, tidy and warm. Paddy who is looking after the place for the owners stayed up late to meet us 11.20pm and see us to our room. I did phone ahead to let him know so it is probably is not something he does eyerynight. Lovely... More
