We stayed at the Glasshouse for 4 nights on a golfing trip through the Wild Atlantic Way. Very nice hotel, staff is excellent. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet even as we overlooked the river. Breakfast is very good and has a lot of options. Hotel offers a laundry service that was quick and our clothes were washed, dried and folded. It is near a lot of restaurants and good places to walk along the river.

A worthwhile stay at excellent value. We had an amazing room with a full roof terrace overlooking Sligo and the river, it was absolutely beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. Beautiful complimentary hair and beauty products were also provided. My only complaint was that the shower is over the bath, a personal dislike! But I have to say that we slept very well in the room, and it had all that you could ask for. We didn’t eat at the hotel, but all the staff that we encountered were lovely. Car park is a little tight, but it is great to have it. Well done!

This hotel is in an ideal location in the heart if Sligo town. We had a lovely room overlooking the river with a balcony. Very comfortable bed and room was well appointed. Good to have the onsite (underground) parking. All staff were friendly and helpful. We both loved the town enjoying the self guided walking tour and the many sights as well as the shops, restaurants and cafes

Overall this is a good choice in Sligo town. Good clean room with a large comy bed and nice and quiet at night despite the location in the town. We stayed 2 nights and ate there twice for dinner and once for lunch along with breakfast on both mornings. Bar is in a nice location. If you get a table by the river you have lovely views of the river going by and the swans, ducks and herons (not cranes) that spend time there. Food was generally good although I thought portions were a bit small and the chips far too crispy for my taste. Cocktails were good although I have had much better espresso martinis. Breakfast is buffet style and hot food was good but not a great selection of cold continental style stuff. I saw someone get poached eggs but they do not advertose this. Service was a mix of excellent (the guy who runs the floor in the bar and one of the barmen) and mediocre. Some of the floor staff were lovely but others seemed to be regretting their recent life decisions. Parking is underground but not included. Surely at €4 per day they could afford to comp this for guests? You need to get a code to get out and it changes each day. Tv in room was odd - none of the Irish channels were in sync so probably not a good idea to rely on this for your entertainment. They have a 2nd bar on the 1st floor which looked nice but was closed for some reason. Considering the place was hopping for a Tues and Wed I was a bif annoyed that it stayed closed.

Very well run hotel in the middle of town close to all restaurants and bars . The breakfast was very good with plenty of attentive staff looking after the residents . We had a room overlooking the river which was very neat and tidy . Not the biggest room but very functional. I would recommend .

Could not recommend this hotel more highly. They say you get what you pay for which is not true in this regard. They exceeded my expectations and went beyond value for money. Fantastic service beautiful spacious room with an amazing views of the river and a balcony with chairs and table. I could not be happier with my stay.

No complaints during our 3 day stay in this excellent hotel in central Sligo. Good selection at breakfast and evening meals in restaurant second to none. Large clean rooms with complimentary toiletries, tea ,coffee and bottled water. Enjoy a drink in viewing lounge or outside overlooking the river with its swans, ducks and the odd crane after a fish. Numerous lively bars nearby and the popular Thomas Connelly Bar across the river offers entertainment every night of the week. Would I stay here again, certainly, this hotel offers comfortable clean rooms, good food and friendly staff.

I was a bit worried before I booked regarding parking in such a central location. I needn’t have worried as the hotel sits over a multi-storey car park which costs on 4 euro for 24 hours. Our roomy was large and very clean and modern, overlooking the river and the quays. I watched a heron wading in the river hunting for fish. The hotel is in a great position for all the pubs and restaurants in Sligo city so we did not need to use our car for our stay. The breakfast was as good as any that we have had on our weeks break in Ireland, so don’t hesitate booking The Glasshouse if staying in Sligo.

Fantastic we booked in on Friday night 21st of April. We had stayed before but arrived very late last time and didn’t get the full experience. Receptionist was polite welcoming gave us ideas of were to eat and parking local arms. We deceived to eat at bar restaurant one of her recommendations. Food service outstanding couldn’t recommend more highly. The bedroom was clean warm and probably one of the best night sleeps we had in 502 only issue was toilet button a bit wanky but not major. The breakfast service again outstanding everyone there to help I don’t eat meat like my eggs more solid a lovely person serving the eggs took it away and done a little bit more the rest of food was fabulous. We decided to stay for lunch as family was meeting us there the receptionist allowed our family to park at front the lunch again highly recommend so tasty clean and enjoy everything is first class We will definitely return again Sligo is a beautiful place especially when sunshine sun high it did in an abundance on Friday. So if in Sligo book Glasshouse B mccabe

My sister and I spent a fantastic two night midweek deal, (room including B+B and one evening meal), at the Glasshouse Hotel and returned home just yesterday. The weather was absolutely atrocious but this did not matter at all because everything about the service we received at the hotel, from each and every member of staff, shone nothing but sunshine and warmth on our little girly getaway. We were treated with nothing but professionalism from start to finish. The food was superb and no request was any bother at all. We honestly felt like we were treated like royalty and we cannot wait to return again as soon as the opportunity arises. Thank you so much for a great break away Glasshouse Hotel.
