Striking looking hotel straddling river, very contemporary feel. Well located for restaurants along the river bank, convenient underground carpark & easy walk to all Sligo sites. Standard buffet breakfast - nothing special & the usual hot food ruining quietly in metal dishes. Attractive, modern dining room, nice bar area with outside deck tables along the river. We had room 506 deluxe double riverside - huge room with average-sized double bed & the attached rooftop terrace was a nice surprise. Very orange with a fun, 60's feel and quiet despite being surrounded by roads. Notices in the room promised charges if we caused damage, yet furniture was tired & damaged; 2 chairs with ripped covers & stuffing emerging & curtains hanging off in 2 places. Lethal over-bath shower (no cubicle) with no grip bar or anything to help you in and out at all.…
This hotel is ideally located in the centre of Sligo town and has some rooms with River views nd balcony. Car park at rear of hotel and is free. Hotel itself is perfect with friendly staff, good food nd very clean. Ticks all boxes nd will be back.
Wonderful clean room with a balcony and lovely views. We were part of a large group and the hotel catered really well with fantastic food which was very well presented and tasted excellent. Very good location for town and was on the river with a lovely view whilst in the bar or eating dinner. Great staff that were helpful and fast. Would stay again!
stopped over here for one night. roadworks outside made finding the car park (4 euros per 24 hours) a bit difficult but got there in the end. nice staff on reception, quick check in and up to the room on fourth floor. WOW - probably the largest hotel room i have ever had, it would so easy to get 20 or so people in for a party. huge comy bed and all very contemporary and spotlessley clean highly recommend
Ok hotel clinical with comfortable clean rooms - perfect for the traveling businessperson but no amenities for families or tourists - would suggest booking one of the hotels on the outskirts of the town if you are a family / tourist - you have to pay to use the car park which is shared with the town users so be prepared to travel around the car park to find a decent space. Breakfast is buffet style and was great quality. Sligo is such a beautiful town hopefully one day the tourists will have a quality hotel within the town so you don’t have to rely on taxis etc to see the town center or enjoy a drink in one of the awesome music bars in town.
Loved our stay here last week. Fab hotel located in the heart of Sligo. We dined lunch, dinner and breakfast and couldnt fault a thing. Our room had lovely views out over sligo town and Benbulbin and all staff were very helpful. The rooms and beds are comfortable and very clean. All in all a very enojable visit.
I spent 2 nights in the Glasshouse from 18th to 20th May with my friend. We each had our deluxe room on the 5th and 2nd floor.. Rooms were very comfortable, comfortable bed and great bed linen. Good shower facilities, tv options and nice river view. This was my third time in the Glasshouse. The hotel needs an upgrade, carpets tired and bar and lounge areas not inviting. Breakfast was ok though standard had dropped considerably. Staff in all areas excellent and probably the best sellung point. Location very convenient to town for shopping etc.
Had a lovely time in the glasshouse. Want to say a big thanks to Adrian and Paul who were most accommodating with all our needs. Stayed with a few friends and would recommend to anyone. Will be back!!
Stayed here for a weekend break away with a few close friends and had a wonderful trip away and want to say a special mention to Paul glass and adrian house for the the best hospitality, will certainly be back and recommend to a friend 👍
Lovely modern hotel - excellent location - very friendly helpful staff. Only negative was the food In the bar on the night we arrived. I had rice with my chicken and it was very poor quality and tasteless. There were 2 of us eating and both meals were very poor. We were very sorry we had not gone out to eat instead.
