We found everything during our stay top class. Our hosts Mary and daughter Virginia were very welcoming. Fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices for breakfast along with cereals, yoghurt and our choice of cooked breakfast. We were provided with welly boots to see the milking shed. The lovely fluffy towels and top sheets on the bed were most welcome. We... More

We stayed in a nice large family room with en-suite. The room was bright and clean, with a baby cot provided. The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juices, cereals, tea and real coffee. You also had a choice of numerous cooked breakfast options, like a Full Irish fry or French toast with bacon and maple... More

Our first trip with our very young baby. Nothing was tto much trouble and we were made feel very at home. If you want clinical uniform rooms and, go to a corporate hotel. If you want a lovely family run farmhouse B&B right on the Wild Atlantic Way, look no further. Someone mentioned, not having tea making facilities in the... More

Ave Maria Farmhouse is a lovely bed and breakfast nestled into a rural part of Sligo. The room my husband and I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a nice sized bathroom en suite. Breakfast was delicious. The hostess was very kind and welcoming. The home was beautiful. There is a restaurant within driving distance which offers ample potions... More

Could not recommend more highly, nothing was too much trouble. The friendliness and hospitality was superb (as was the breakfast). First time I have taken the time to review anything on Tripadvisor, it's that good!

We were the only guests on this cold night, and Mary made us feel very special indeed. At our request, Padraig allowed us to observe the early-morning routines of his working dairy and we definitely enjoyed the learning experience! Mary's friendly conversation and hospitality were the perfect complement to her home-cooked breakfast before we set out for Sligo. Would definitely... More

Our University group began their study in this elegant farmhouse of three generations and 700 cows. After two days, our students did not want to leave and in fact sent Mary a postcard to thank her. Mary's travel suggestions were very helpful, she arranged for our bus transportation, and the breakfasts were world class. She and her family took every... More

What a terrific farmhouse B&B. From the moment we arrived at the door until we said our good-bye 3 days later, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Mrs. Mulligan and her daughters looked after us so well. The rooms are spacious, pretty, and sparkling clean. Breakfast is delicious. Mrs. Mulligan is very knowledgeable about the... More

This is a working dairy farm, the atmosphere may be something unfamiliar to the average person. Since my husband grew up on a dairy farm, this was the reason for this selection. The owner Mary was very gracious with sharing the workings of her family's large herd (700+) of dairy cows. She had an audience that was interested in some... More
