We really enjoyed out stay.. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us in all departments... Food was excellent breakfast great choices .. In these new strange times ... The hotel were 100% with social distancing sanitizing . We will definitely be back again ...
Could not fault this hotel- staff are lovely and friendly, food and breakfast is very nice, pool is lovely and rooms have amazing views. I will definitely be returning to this hotel for many reasons- definitely will be recommending
Pros: The rooms are tidy and clean. Cons: Paying a higher price for a full (double) bed, only to realize it's 2 single beds combined. Breakfast was not available because the cook did not show up and there was no replacement. Noise from corridors is heard pretty loud in the rooms.
First of all the room was very small and cold the tv was sat on what seemed to be an old coffee table. When we arrived we asked what time breakfast was we were told that there would be no cooked breakfast instead it would be a continental breakfast this was not mentioned on the website when we asked why we were told it was because there were not many guest .This is a very shabby way to treat paying guest. The dinner menue very basic and the portions small when the coffee and tea arrived it was just about warm.I could go on but enough said. But i must say that the staff are lovely.
What can I say about our stay on Valentine's weekend.. the staff are brilliant and thanks to Adele she was such a pleasent and lovely girl the whole weekend, giving us direction to places we were looking to visit and telling us about the town and places to see etc. We didn't get Whens name of the lady who booked us in but she to was very helpful. When we arrived we were upgraded at no xtra charge which was a lovely treat, the room was fantastic. The night porter was very pleasant and what more can u say about sligo town, best getaway in a long time, we will certainly be back thanks so much maddy mccurdy xxx
Sligo City Hotel is located in the middle of Sligo town so once you park the car you can go everywhere on foot. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with nice linen, towels & toiletries. There is tea/coffee making facilities & lots of sockets for phone chargers, hairdryers etc. Even though it's in the centre of Sligo it was quiet & we all slept soundly. When I checked in on a cold December afternoon I noticed that the heaters in my room were not working. I told the lady on Reception & in the blink of an eye I was allocated a different bedroom. Breakfast was buffet style with a great selection of cereals, breads, yougarts, fresh fruit as well as a cooked breakfast. This hotel is an excellent option for a weekend break in the north west. It's conviently located, the staff couldn't be more helpful & it's nicely priced. Many thanks Sligo City Hotel for a wonderful stay :-))…
Excellent stay, lovely hotel and friendly staff, great location in Sligo city centre, close to shops and walking distance to train and bus station. Great breakfast in the morning and bar food was delicious.
We have been staying at the Hotel for a number of years now and find the staff to be very pleasant and hard working. The food is freshly cooked and nicely presented. The lasagne is so tasty and the cheesecake for desert is always yummy! The bedrooms are of a good size - request a room with views of Ben Bulben. Hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries are a nice touch. The location is ideal, right in the city centre with a car park on site which is a bonus. Looking forward to returning in 2020.
Nice comfortable hotel and conveniently located. Older receptionist very welcoming; younger receptionist was not. Was easy to find off of N4. Did not experience the restaurant or bar. Surprised that there was no coffee/tea on the main floor in the morning.
Very good location by river walk and all the restaurants. Easy parking Friendly staff. Room was large and quite clean. I noticed some of the doors around could use some paint. I room was very well kept. Breakfast normal bufett I dont like fried eggs and scrambled were done without a fuss!. We had a room overlooking quay street and was quiet enough.
