Sligo Park Hotel is often celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and festive decor that contribute to a cozy ambiance, though some guests have noted soundproofing could be improved. The hotel's cleanliness is a standout feature, with rooms frequently described as spotless and well-kept.
While opinions on value diverge, with some praising affordability and others questioning service levels for the price, the staff's friendliness and professionalism are consistently highlighted. Its prime location offers both serenity and convenience, and amenities like the leisure center are popular, despite minor issues.

Hotel's Favourite
We spent two nights in the Sligo Park Hotel. Every one of the staff were so pleasant and friendly. They were always so helpful. We are in the bar on the two evenings and both meals were very tasty, the service was also excellent. The lobby area is just perfect for chilling out with a cup of coffee in the afternoon. We enjoyed our time in the swimming as well which has a baby pool meaning we could take our 5 month old to the pool. There really is such a lovely family atmosphere in the hotel and we look forward to many more family stays together in the Sligo Park.

We booked through Groupon for a 1 night stay, b&b and use of leisure facilities, this hotel exceeded our expectations and we had a lovely time. They have taken very good safety measures given the current Covid-19 situation i.e hand sanitising station at entrance and every table had a bottle of hand sanitiser. Use of masks were also encouraged.
Upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised of how nice it was. We had a view overlooking the well maintained garden with picnic benches and bandstand. The bed and pillows were some of the comfiest I’ve felt! Had a great nights sleep. There were some things in the room which let it down: The shower head needs replaced due to limescale, and the vent was covered in dust. One of the main lights in the room was also broke, and the corner lamp was hanging by the wires, which could be a safety issue. The dressing room table lamp was also not working. There were also a few cobwebs and a spider around the window. But to be honest, for £79 on Groupon I couldn’t complain.
We had a casual dinner and drinks in Jack B’s bar, food was lovely and fresh, and the strawberry daiquiris were some of the best we have had! Unfortunately it was a very limited menu so we struggled to find something we really wanted, so we settled for burgers, but they were very nice regardless. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
For breakfast we had it in the Hazelwood restaurant which was a buffet type breakfast offering a wide range of food (Cereals, Toast, Fruit, Porridge etc) and full Irish breakfast. This restaurant is lovely and the food was surprisingly nice for a buffet style.
We also used the leisure facilities which were great and extra measures have been taken for covid-19 safety. Unfortunately the Jacuzzi was closed but that is understandable.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend to family and friends. I would like to return in the near future, but hopefully some of the negative things I have noted will be rectified :) thanks for a great stay.

On selecting The Sligo Park Hotel for our Wedding Anniversary night away we were pleasantly surprised. Having been regulars at Radisson in Rosses Point we fancied a change so we decided to give The Sligo Park Hotel a go for the night. On arrival reception staff were friendly and attentive. Our Room 325 was fab with exceptional views of Benbulben mountain and out to Rosses Point with floor to ceiling glass which gave the room an amazing brightness, with a nice touch of some chocolates and a welcome card for our Wedding Anniversary.
In fact the hotel foyer, restaurant & bar all have great light due to the amount of glass the hotel have invested in their guest areas. We had a drink in the foyer, good service from bar staff and ate in the Restaurant which also proved a hit. A special thankyou to the very efficient and friendly lady with long pont tail her customer service skills were exceptional. After a restful night's sleep, in the most comfy mattress, we had another amazing experience in the restaurant. Breakfast was a treat and getting it served to you is much nicer than the carvery breakfast. Again we were impressed by the efficiency and attentiveness of the staff, their customer service skills are commendable. We noticed how efficient they were at clearing , cleaning and resetting tables. I must say the hotel was extremely covid safe, hand sanitizer on every table in restaurant and foyer also there was an automatic dispenser on arrival at reception and outside restaurant toilets which were immaculate. In fact all areas of the hotel was immaculate and clean. We used the leisure centre which also was a good experience, friendly staff and we liked the booking system going on. Sligo Park Hotel well done you are all doing an amazing job, keep up the amazing customer service standards and we will be back.

We stayed in Sligo for a week in the Sligo Park. Nothing was too much for the wonderful staff who made the trip especially enjoyable. The precautions regarding COVID19 were second to none, we always felt safe but were able to continue our trip without delay or fuss. The leisure centre and rooms are always spotless and the food in the restaurant is delicious. I could not speak highly enough of this wonderful hotel. I fully recommend it.

My husband, toddler and I stayed two nights here. It was my first time at this popular hotel. We entered through the bar as the main entrance is being upgraded which was a little disconcerting but temporary. A cot was provided on request. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. You can upgrade to a superior room for €15 per night which we didn't avail of. We had a lovely breakfast both mornings. It was very busy particularly on the Sunday morning but food was replaced quickly when it disappeared. Coffee was very good. There was a glass with water broken at a nearby table and I thought this was dealt with very efficiently by staff. The only thing missing was a cook to order option of poached eggs/pancakes/omelette etc but we were very satisfied nonetheless with the spread and options available.
We had bar food two evenings in the hotel. On the 1st evening, My husband had Jack B's beef burger €17.20 which was very good. I had the barbecue chicken and bacon pizza €14.60 which was very good also. We had a pint of Hophouse €5.30 and an alcohol free strawberry daiquiri priced extremely reasonably at €3.10. It was yum🍹😋 I highly commend the bar for this reasonably priced delicious mocktail which I had both evenings. On the 2nd evening, I had the soup of the day at €5.90 and my husband had the sweet chilli chicken burger with sweet potato fries@€16.50. Both were very good. Although I'm not vegetarian or vegan, I noted two vegan options on the menu: super salad & biryani=a sign of the times.
We used the leisure facilities one morning. We forgot our swim hats so had to buy two at €2 each. We used the family changing room but as another family was using it also, my husband changed in the men's changing room. Without him, I struggled by myself to change our toddler in the absence of a baby changing station in the family changing room. This was one of the few faults in an excellent stay at this hotel and one I mentioned to staff in the spa and at reception on leaving. We made use of the jacuzzi, steamroom, sauna, baby pool, pool and plunge pool 🏊♀️
We found staff to be on the ball & particularly friendly and warm. I'd recommend this hotel for families and look forward to a return visit in the future when the refurbishment is fully completed.

As with most hotels in Ireland at the moment this hotel is suffering a bit from too many Covid restrictions.
Not the most pleasant of check ins, the lady was efficient but anything but pleasant.
The hotel looked great and very modern. The room was clean and modern with a lovely big window overlooking the garden. Bed was nice and comfy as was everything else in the room. The bathroom let the experience down. If you’re an older person, you have to climb into the bath and have a shower and the same when wet getting out. The shower was lukewarm no matter what time of day and wasn’t great for a 4 star hotel. We got 2 little tubes of shower gel to do us for our weekend stay and barely had enough toilet roll. The bathrooms definitely need a makeover with safe access and egress to the shower.
We had a swim in the pool, lovely leisure facilities and I’d say only for the restrictions it would be excellent. The swim attendant must be related to the receptionist as we got the same bored look and not a bit pleasant. Maybe we’re all fed up with this Covid including staff.
The restaurant was lovely and lived up to expectations, the food was excellent with a really great menu. The waitresses were great, very helpful and friendly. We’d dinner here on the 2 nights and the menu changed for the second night. Highly recommended.
The bar was nice and modern but was too bright, lacked atmosphere and a bit of music. The bar staff made up for this though as they were brilliant.
Breakfast next morning had queues to get in, queues for the cereal and then a queue for the fry up. In fairness the manager on the both mornings tried his best to get everyone sorted as inconveniently as possibly. The food was great so no complaints.
The hotel is lovely but I think all the restrictions is killing any atmosphere that the hotel could have. On the second night we had to have a drink on our own in the overflow bar/restaurant. It kind of turns you off going out with these Covid social distancing rules. I sympathise with hotels, restaurants and bars because it’s hard to get the balance right.
A nice hotel but needs these COVID-19 restrictions eased to make it worth while to go back for a break. A good base though to do your touring of county Sligo.

Just back from our second visit to Sligo Park. This time we stayed 6 nights. Everything was excellent from check-in to departure. The staff are friendly and professional, the breakfasts mighty (especially the full Irish), while the dinner menu is really varied and tasty. The foyer is big, bright and airy and a lovely place in which to relax with a coffee or a cocktail. The terrace is nice too and it was a pity that we didn't always get good enough weather to enjoy it. The pool area is spotless and I loved that the 7.00am session was kid-free. Our room, a superior king, had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge with lovely Voya toiletries. Our break was excellent value as dinner was included each night and there were no supplements for steak, etc. Cleanliness was to the fore and staff members were constantly sanitising the public areas. If I had to mention one outstanding feature of our visit it would be the staff. Reception, bar, restaurant, leisure centre and housekeeping, all members were so friendly and enthuiastic and this created a lovely warm atmosphere. We are looking forward to our next visit to Sligo Park.

Just a one night stay as, I needed somewhere to stay after attending a Christmas party in Sligo Town (not the hotel). What a great choice booking this hotel turned out to be. No problem getting parked in the hotel’s free, outside car park. A real bright, fresh & inviting reception area & foyer. Check in was really friendly, quick & informative.
My non smoking superior room was excellent. A really decent size, bright, clean & comfortable with a carpet floor, excellent double bed, wall mounted tv, luggage rack, wardrobe, clothes rack, large mirror, fridge, safe, tea/coffee, hairdryer, coffee table, 2 armchairs, workdesk/dresser & chair & plenty of electric sockets. A radiator kept the room temperature just right. A large window allowed an abundance of natural light. I had no issues with noise from inside or outside of the hotel. The free Wi Fi was excellent in my room & in the foyer & breakfast restaurant. Easy to connect to, fast & reliable.
The bathroom was spacious, very clean & modern. With a tiled floor & walls, toiletries, plenty of towels, large mirror & shower with great pressure & an abundance of hot water.
Buffet breakfast was excellent. I almost overslept & only just made it on time & some items were already “out of stock” but there was still more than enough for me to have a hearty breakfast with toast, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, pastries, full fry, fresh whole fruit, tea, flavoured teas, coffee & fruit juices.
I took a peek at the leisure centre but unfortunately, did not have time to use it which was a pity as it looked good with a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, plunge pool & well equipped gym.
The hotel is located approx 20 – 30 minutes walk (depending how fast you walk) from O Connell Street in the town centre so, taxi is probably the best option for getting to there. I got collected from the hotel & left back there by friends from the Christmas party & so, cannot advise on the cost of a taxi.
Checking out, up until 12.00, was as quick & friendly as checking in had been. A special mention to the staff, all of whom were friendly, attentive, helpful & efficient.
Nothing but positives from me for my stay, an excellent hotel.

We have just returned after a short break in the Sligo Park, couldn’t fault our stay in anyway. All the staff are very friendly & great at making the time spent here very enjoyable.
People may feel apprehensive at the moment at the idea of staying in a hotel but all measures have been taken in this hotel, plenty sanitizer stations, constant cleaning. Plenty room to allow for social distancing.
Food as always lovely, great choice available. Pizzas are a lovely addition.
Pool exceptionally clean & leisure staff as always great.
I have read comments on social media where people felt Sligo Park expensive but it is well worth it for the quality & experience. Great place for families.
We will be back, a huge thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

Stayed here for one night after buying a Pigsback voucher that included 1 night B&B, a bottle of prosecco, a box of chocolates and late check-out all provided by the hotel. None of these were provided although it stated on the voucher that they would be waiting in the room. I mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning who took two drinks off our bill in compensation for forgetting the prosecco and chocolates. At no point where we offered these, although they were paid for in advance as included in our voucher. After speaking with the receptionist, we returned to our room as we had a late check out. A worker walked into our room before the normal check out time, never mind the late check out included in our voucher. Two days later I was asked by email request from the hotel to provide feedback about our stay and I described the above events, so the same thing wouldn't happen to another guest staying here. I received a reply from the general manager with a different guest's name, not my own name, in the email and a completely inadequate apology. The reply from the general manager read "I must apologize to you for us not having the little extras in your room on the offer you were on." These were not "little extras" they were paid for in advance with the voucher. The general manager could not even get my name right in his reply. The attention to detail by management/reception is shocking and is completely substandard for a 4* hotel. Giving two stars because other than that the bar/breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I don't think so but I am sure if you ring the hotel in advance they would recommend a salon and you cold book an appointment, The staff are excellent and so helpful
Haven't tried the suite but if the other rooms are anything to go by the suite must be amazing!! Overall it's a fabulous hotel to relax with great leisure suite and great food too 👏👏
No air conditioning but they do have some fans
I know they had a movie night for the children every night we were there in August over thde weekend. They have a swimming pool & a tennis court. I’m not sure what else they have as we had no children with us.
