I asked for quiet room at the back and that was exactly what I got. So I slept well in the week that I spent here. I felt safe as it was very covid friendly and Liam always had his mask on. He gave me some large glass bottles of water which was nice as I didn't have buy as many plastic bottles of water. B and B was very reasonably priced and I even got a continental breakfast when I didn't request a fry. Location is excellent as while it is in the town, it is near edge of town and not too near outside dining noise etc. I found B and B clean and owners very friendly.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 days in June of 2014 (I’m a little slow with reviews). Liam and Geraldine were like family, they went out of their way when we had needs, and gave us fabulous advice on where to go and what to do. When I went back to my room at night I felt like I was going home to my house. On day 3 my wife fell ill. Geraldine cooked special meals to fit her wants and desires. They were both outstanding hosts. We travel quite extensively and have never felt more at home anywhere then in this B&B in Sligo.
Liam was a great host. Parking, fine room and wonderful Irish breakfast. Walking distance to everything and safe neighbourhood. Highly recommended. From guests on the other side of the pond in Newfoundland and Labrador
This is a gritty, urban spot, right on a city street a couple of blocks away from the central party/bar zone. At first glance, the neighborhood can be a bit off-putting (the "Thai Massage" parlor across the street made us uncomfortable until we realized it was no longer in business), but in general it turned out to be a good stay. Our hosts were extremely gracious, and they serve a grand breakfast. They were very helpful in assisting us with navigation in the city, which is quite walkable and very lovely. Accessibility note: the rooms are all up at least one flight of stairs, and there is no lift. We were able to manage but wheelchair users should look elsewhere. We were a bit perturbed to find "no alcohol on premises" included in the list of rules of the property. One member of our party enjoys an after-dinner beer while watching television, and was offended by this restriction. It would be helpful if the B&B communicated this restriction to potential guests ahead of time, either on their website or by email. This is the reason for a four-star review instead of five stars.…
Great B&B! Liam the owner was very nice, showed us our room and ensured that it was ok for us for our stay. We had an en suite room, however the shared bathrooms appeared to be very clean. There is free parking in the back, however, beware they lock the gate when the businesses behind the B&B close so you are unable to park or get your car out after those hours. This was ok for us because we were not planning to drive anywhere. There is breakfast served in the morning, however we did not eat due to waking up late. Liam did offer us coffee or tea even after the breakfast hours were over.
