As a regular customer called at 6pm . Asked for a takeaway for two people. I was told they were too busy even though the place was half full . I wasn't impressed and went elsewhere. I was served with a smile. Not impressed with Townhouse
Too busy to provide a takeaway lunch! I arrived with my own plate to be told they were far too busy, I couldn’t believe it,regular customer, enjoy lunch normally but won’t return after this experience. I would understand if everyone was running & the facility at capacity
Townhouse tullamore exceeded our expectations above and beyond..we were welcomed and treated absolutely amazingly 👏 the staff here are fantastic we have no other words. They let us set up our area for our child's communion with balloons etc, the food was unreal 👌 the hospitality was 2nd to none..we have never seen a team of staff work so well. Ye should be very proud of yerselves well done 👏
I was surprised at the food offering and the quality. I thought the menu on offer had not a good variety while I appreciate options could have been curtailed due to Covid-19. The food option I selected was of an okay standard but not v good. Apparent feedback on some social apps appear to promote this venue to be a great venue but I didn't find it that! Staff were very nice but I noticed some poor hygiene practices that I was surprised to see. Okay for a drink but I wouldn't promote/recommend their in house food offerings.
No Guineas, cold salmon fillet, completely uninterested staff particularly from the wanna be manager who artfully avoided all eye contact in case he had to actually move and speak to someone. Worst place in Tullamore.
The Town House Tullamore Ireland is a special Pub - we dined there on the 29th of July. It had screens dividing the tables. We were asked for our Vaccination confirmation. For Starters I had breaded mushrooms with salad, my partner had a lovely salad - For Mains we had Battered Fish, peas and chips-it was fantastic - the staff were so friendly
This hotel has lovely food and a good atmosphere, but some of the staff never smile! Apart from that it’s a great place to stay if you want to visit the surrounding areas. It’s clean & warm even if the rooms are a bit old fashioned. It’s very reasonable price-wise and parking is across the road and you have to pay for it, but again, it’s reasonably priced. Enjoyed my stay here on both occasions!
Caught me by surprise as it's above a pub! Were given the room at the top but told the guy that I had a knee surgery so he moved me down, another level. That was really thoughtful of him. Not much of a help really as I still had to climb the stairs and the corridors to the rooms are quite dark! Walls are "paper thin" as we can hear anything and everything from toilet flushing to water running to people "mumbling"!! Parking is "pay and display" as after 6 pm, it's free but you have to watch for the next morning when it starts at 09.00! Breakfast is included. Service is friendly. Amenities are good though.
And not in a good way! This person made us feel as if we were disturbing her day. I was there for a business meeting with 2 colleagues and when I ordered 2 coffees, a tea and 2 scones I was told to “slow down I can’t write fast”...it’s really not a huge amount to remember. Give her the benefit of the doubt but everything was practically thrown at us. There wasn’t a bit of politeness about her. I did inform the person who took the money that it was very bad and she didn’t seem surprised! I won’t be returning...
Had full Irish breakfast there this morning with my adult niece. We both loved it. Food cooked to order and served with toast and soda bread. Coffee topped up without having to ask. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would return and would recommend to friends.
