Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent accommodation- great value for money. I stayed one night arrived at around 10.00 pm. Host was excellent. Accommodation was excellently kitted out. Snacks available, bread, cheese and cold meats and yoghurts in the fridge. Very well furnished and completely clean. Highly recommend it.

This lil gem was an absolute delight, Josie was an AMAZING host! Even offered to iron my husband's shirt 🥰, the room was SPOTLESS , Bed was a different level of comfort, not to mention the breakfast, we had the full Irish, everything cooked to perfection ( as I'm fussy with eggs) I'm always dubious about ordering, but they were absolutely perfect, the breakfast also had a continental option, fresh fruits, cheese, yogurts n cereals! All round great experience, would highly recommend 👌

Stayed 2 nights in December and highly recommend this property. Josie and Dave were perfect hosts, even giving us a lift to the train station one day. Our room was small but incredibly clean and had a comfy bed. Breakfast was outstanding on both days. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We found ourselves without accommodation after arriving in another town to find that the lodge we had booked (and confirmed and fully paid) had been sold a couple of months back. Ellen and Brookville House rescued us and turned what could have been disastrous into a wonderful turn of events. The rooms are clean, comfortable and stylish. The location is brilliant across from the canal (saw someone catch a big fish and release it back) with a pub that is walking distance away. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and we highly recommend adding the hot breakfast to your reservation. Thank you Ellen for such a lovely stay!

I've stayed here a few times when on nights out in Tullamore. The location is the best thing about this B&B. Saying that, the rooms are comfortable, clean and warm. I've never eaten here so can't comment. The staff are nice. Really, you can't go wrong for somewhere just to lay your head of a night!

This is a well situated guesthouse on the canal bank within a short walk to the centre of Tullamore. Plenty of parking which is very handy. The staff were very friendly. Our room was fine and as expected and suited our needs. Nice breakfast in the morning and most likely will use again

We were driving from Dublin to Killkee. Tullamore was a good place to stop. The Brookville Guesthouse was very clean and the inn keepers were very informative and friendly. I enjoyed leaving the car in the parking lot and walking to town for dinner and for drinks. Town itself is very old but people are friendly and we never felt afraid of walking in town .

Stayed here with dad to attend a funeral in town. Check in was easy, with a quick call we were directed to the hidden key !! A large room with kitchenette, a double bed and a single bed. The ensuite shower was a tad small but it did the job. The room was spotless with lovely comfy bed and pillows. It had just been redecorated so there was no mirror but, after mentioning it to Josie, it appeared straight away. Irish breakfast cooked to order with tea and toast. A selection of juices and cereals as well. A traditional Irish welcome where nothing is too much trouble, my parents have stayed here for years and now I know why!! Dad is already wanting to book a return trip ...
