We stayed in this hotel over the weekend, it is a great location and as the name says, is central in Tullamore town. The receptionist Roisin was extremely friendly and told us where some local amenities were situated. The bedroom was very clean & tidy, as was any area of the hotel that we saw. We are in the bar area in the evening, the server Sigita was very friendly and made some recommendations on the menu. As far as precautions for Covid, this hotel has very high standards, all staff were in either masks or full face guards and lots of sanitising could be seen as we ate.

Will definitely come back.

Was a little worried about what to expect for the price we paid for 2 adults and a child on a Saturday night. We were more than pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a very presentable young man who was friendly, helpful and efficient. We were delighted with a huge room with a king-size and a single bed. You could fit 2 more beds into that room it was so big. Room 220. Overlooking a park, nice and quiet for families. Everything was perfectly clean, hats off to housekeeping. We hadn't booked a table for dinner but decided to see if they could fit us in without notice. A wonderful staff member named Evelina promptly sorted a table for us and looked after us so well all evening. I have to commend her for her efficiency and friendliness, it makes all the difference. We only had the mains as we had a big lunch earlier but it was absolutely gorgeous and we barely finished it. I would recommend the cocktails, I had the Pina Colada, great price too. We had a lovely walk around the town after. Lots of shops and things to see and do. The hotel is situated in a nice quieter area for families but still super close to the livelier bars. Breakfast was unbelievable for what we paid for our stay. Loads to choose from, fruit, yoghurt, hot food etc all served by the nicest staff you could hope for.
We took a chance on this hotel and I'm glad we did. We'll definitely go back.
Thanks Central Hotel for a lovely stay

There was 13 of us staying first of all girls at reception were so polite and friendly and professional. The bar staff even when busy had time to smile do a great job. I was really impressed with Garry who made time to come over and introduce himself to me that really was a nice touch. The food we were impressed with none of us had fault with dinner or breakfast. The rooms was nice and clean so I can say we enjoyed our stay thank you to all staff

...Absolutely scandalous...
Booked a room last night with a friend , 2 of our friends called up to our room for a chat and a quiet drink.. opened the window and when closing it , it got stiff and wouldnt closed properly the latches each side of the window started to bend and catch at the wall at the window so dialled down to reception to say our window isnt closing could they try fix it or is there any other alternatives like a room , so the receptionist came up and tried to fix our window but didnt work the window was worse than before so we asked for a different room because you couldn't expect anybody to stay in a hotel room with a broken window and it was freezing, so a couple that was in the residence bar said they would swap rooms with us because they werent using it , they were staying in the residence bar , so we got their room as we walked in there was a very strong smell of Marijuana.. we continued to have a chat and a drink. A knock came to the door pleading to be let in and it was the was the woman who gave us their room , we let her in she was in a state of tears and shaking asking could she stay with us because of her partner, we let her stay but with that a big knock came to the door it was her partner looking for her , we didnt open the door as we were all terrified, he threatened to kick the door in if somebody didnt open it so we rang down to reception to say briefly what happend and to ring the guards..so with that the door got kicked in and we had to leave

Very embarrassing , but not our faults
Our receptionist helped in every way possible

Its not a hotel I would recommend to anybody !!
especially families with children because it's a half way hotel with Drugs being hid and sold from rooms , smell of Marijuana
Very rough hotel
Rating: 0 out or 5 stars !

First time in Tullamore, bit gutted when we pulled up outside, inside hotel suprised me, nice value room for family of 5, only complaint was it could do with air con as it was very warm. Bathroom not bad toilet and a tile was loose. Good Food, breakfast was 4 star, had evening meal 2nd night (wanted to make sure brek was good quality before booking an evening meal as saw bad reviews) dinner service was great. Over all our stay was great, very relaxing, staff were all so professional and lovely, great to have park behind it for the kids. Might recommend a little smoking area out back for guests instead of standing at front door on street. Will definitely be back.

From the initial check in, to the restaraunt and breakfast, every staff member I met was friendly and professional. The room was spotless, warm, comfortable and quiet. Overall I was very happy and will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Tullamore. Also, the bar food was really good.

The room was nice, although we did not have a bathtub, only a shower. The room had a carpet, which I think was the reason I got a stuffy nose during my visit. The breakfast was nice, ahough I would have liked to have a bit more fresh vegetables with it.

Stayed here with my pal as we was in the area for a wedding a few up in the new forest.

In total we spent three nights at the hotel. Staff were polite and friendly. Rooms were well sized, clean and tidy. Must add that the bed was really comfortable.

Used the restaurant on our first morning. Cooked breakfast which was hot and tasty and reasonably priced.

If I was in the area I will stay here again.

Thank you.

Recently stayed in the central Hotel. It was by far 1 of the most pleasurable stays i had. We checked in and the receptionist was so professional and polite. We went to the room and all I can say it was so lovely and spacious. The room and all of the hotel was so clean and well sanitized. Loved that there was so much hand sanitizer throughout the whole hotel. We ate in the bar and the food so fresh and the girl working was so friendly. We will definitely be going back again.

We wanted somewhere in the center of town and this hotel lives up to the name "Central Hotel". easy to get to from the train station and very close to shops etc. Breakfast was great the next morning. We didn't drink in the bar of the hotel so cannot comment on that. Our room was to the back and was quiet.

Answer from Street Wise

There is parking just round the corner from the hotel, not sure if it's belonging to the hotel but there always seems to be a few places available. There is also parking just down the street for the shopping centre.

As the others have said I think you should ring in advance as our room was overlooking the Main Street and I'm not sure if they will be as busy now coming near the end of summer but they were busy last week when we were down especially with their midweek deal on.

I paid with a Mastercard Debit card so I'm sure you'll have no issues with a Visa Debit Card. Enjoy your stay.
