The staff of the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan provided a first class service to us once again this week. The meeting room was ready when we arrived and a delicious lunch was served promptly at the end of the meeting. The management are very easy to deal with and are very flexible. We will be back. we stayed for 2 nights in November my daughter booked it as an advanced birthday treat we had asked for a twin room high floor but got a room looking out on a roof on ground floor so they moved us straight away to a really nice room with a view it was very comfortable we were unable to get any booking for treatments so we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi we tried to book the treatments at the time of booking but none available We ate in PKs bar and it was very good lovely friendly staff the main restaurant not open in the early week but this was fine as the food was really good The reception area is quite dark and only a small reception desk half way down and there are seats there if you wanted to sit with a drink after your meal but we stayed in the bar There is plenty to see in the area and a beautiful Forest park 10 minutes away with lovely walks and views also the cathedral is just across the road The hotel was good value lovely staff so friendly and the pool are is excellent Lovely hotel for a mini break …

The hotel was very welcoming and clean, and in a great location for us. Check in was quick and easy and our room was ready early, which was a bonus that we did not expect. We were celebrating a big birthday and the little extras were a nice touch. The beds are so comfortable and our room was lovely. The bar food was exceptional, as was the breakfast. We utilised the Spa as this was a special occasion and the professionalism of the therapists and reception team were outstanding. The best treatment I have had for a long time. The facilities in the Thermal Suite were clean and relaxing and the outdoor hot tub was lovely the utilise in the early evening. We are already planning our next stay with the children.

Lovely large room with bath and separate shower. Breakfast was served by the chef. Lovely decor , definitely 💯 we will be back. Great location, Monaghan is a great town with some lovely hidden gems.

This was the fourth time that I have stayed in this hotel in the past 18 months, The girls really enjoy staying at this hotel they love playing in the kids club and having fun in the pool. The kids are so well looked after by the staff and they are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are so big and spacious and the beds are soo comfy and pillows are so fluffy and soft it's always a great sleep especially with the heavy curtains. The breakfast choice is absolutely amazing and the girls love the pancake machine. The plenty of variety for Gluten free with separate toasters etc... as my girls say it's 5* Chefs Kiss and there is so much to choose from. I cant recommend this hotel enough it's a 5 minute walk to Monaghan town and 25 min drive to Armagh and plenty of forest walks and playgrounds within a 10mins drive. The staff are so friendly and obliging and especially Erin who always remembers us on every visit it's great to see a welcoming friendly face and she always has big high fives for the girls. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back again in the future.…

Great hotel, the room was really comfortable. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The leisure center is brilliant, especially the pool area& outside jacuzzi!!! We spent a perfect afternoon in the spa for treatments and used the relaxation room. Thank you Sandra ( sorry I know that's the wrong spelling of your name). I walked into town to the shopping centre. Only a short walk. Pk's bar and Bistro is great.
