This family/community hotel in Knockatallon County Monaghan by far exceeded our expectations, from the moment we arrived to the checking out time, we were treated so well by very friendly staff. Our family reunion party booked out the entire hotel and we were really in a home from home environment, the reception, the kitchen, the bar, the entertainment was all...

The manager went to some effort to cater for the fact that my family are all vegetarian but, as is often the case, despite best intentions, catering for vegetarians was rather out of their range. Very friendly staff, good and attentive service, all done with a smile. It is a really popular local place for the Sunday roast meals but...

Hotel set in lovely surroundings with great walks nearby if so inclined! From booking rooms for large family group, staff were very helpful. 4 older kids had their own room with bunk beds, single and double bed which they enjoyed fighting over! Rooms are fine and beds very comfortable. Bathrooms are basic but if you're only taking a shower they...

Fine dining it may not be but the quality of the food on offer and the friendliness of the staff would put some of the other highly...

Really glad we were taken to the hotel with a local or we'd never have found it. We were immensley impressed with the spirit of this hotel - run by the community for the community. Ten out of ten guys! Food was great. Welcome was wonderful. Accommodation was basic but beds were extremely comfortable and lots of hot water!

Sunday carvery here is fantastic, never fails to impress. Meat is always cooked to perfection, plenty of it and good value. Food is always serviced over the weekend from 5 to 7 at night, small choice on mens but always tasty. It's very out of the way but if you find youself in the area, it is worth the trip,...

Stayed here recently. The staff are friendly. The food is good. The rooms are adequate. It is right next door to the Church in a very peaceful and tranquil area. There seemed to loads of opportunities to take in walks

We enjoyed a family party with an evening meal here, earlier this year. The food was excellent served by friendly staff. We gained complimentary access to the dance in the ballroom, courtesy of the management. We enjoyed the dancing and music. Thank you!
