We stayed here and liked everything about the place, the staff were lovely, the good was great and reasonably priced and overall I'd recommend here. Our only downfall was the pillows in the room were not comfortable.

I stayed a night here would recommend to any body looking a cosy night with all the extras Netflix, chocolates and bath robes etc. Staff was phenomenal couldn’t get over the generosity and hospitality and the beds, ohhhh god the beds were top of the pops and we’ll worth the money I would advise staying here, to be honest it has the glamorousness of Miami and the atmosphere of temple bar

This was our second stay here this year and once again we could not fault the hotel. Spotlessly clean rooms and communal areas, tea and coffee facilities, bathrooms with toiletries and towels provided and a nice powerful shower, comfortable beds, hairdryer, and lots of storage space as well as extra pillows and blankets provided....all for €35 per room....fantastic. We had 2 rooms and both came with a double bed and a single bed. Sadly we were only there for one night while we were visiting family nearby, and had to leave very early at 5am to catch a ferry from Dublin. Unfortunately this meant we left before breakfast, (although the hotel did offer to do us something) but we did enjoy a fabulous meal in the bar the night before. I would recommend this place both as a hotel, and as a restaurant. The food is extremely good, a nice menu choice, (I’d recommend the Stir fried chicken and noodles) generous portions and great value for money. We paid €60 for 4 of us to have an extremely hearty and tasty meal. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, they cannot do enough for you. We will definitely be returning. …

A large group of us stayed at this hotel for a family funeral nearby. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and even assisted other family members who they were unable to accommodate find other accommodation close by. The hotel is spotlessly clean inside and out, the rooms are spacious and all have their own bathroom. There was a TV, hairdryer and kettle in each room and plenty of storage. The food was good, a full Irish breakfast, or a vegetarian alternative, choice of cereals and orange juice. Evening meal was exceptionally good. The menu, although not large, catered for all tastes and was good value for money. The bar was friendly and visited by many locals as well as hotel guests. The bar and restaurant were only open in the evening, which was fine for us. I would like to thank the hotel staff for looking after us all so well, and will definitely return, hopefully for a happier occasion. …

A great hotel , totally off the beaten track but well worth a visit, The welcome we received was second to none , great staff and the food was excellent. From the outside it does not appear to be too spectacular , but once inside it was really good . The bar is very friendly and has a good singer on the Saturday night , the meals are very reasonably priced and the Guinness was excellent . plenty of tables in the grounds and there is a covered smoking area . You are only a few miles from the border , and the roads are excellent for motor cycles , plenty of sweepers . There is a huge bog up the road and many walks in the area. Rooms clean and excellent breakfast.

We arranged an event for the BMW Irish Section Motorcycle Club . 24 of us stayed with 18 bikes from Fri to Sun. The accommodation was great, including a large open shed for the bikes to be undercover. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and very reasonably priced. Everyone of the group had only praise for the place, the accommodation, the food and the staff who were warm and helpful. The hotel was very easy to do business with. We wish them well for the future with their community venture and will recommend them to others.

This family/community hotel in Knockatallon County Monaghan by far exceeded our expectations, from the moment we arrived to the checking out time, we were treated so well by very friendly staff. Our family reunion party booked out the entire hotel and we were really in a home from home environment, the reception, the kitchen, the bar, the entertainment was all first class. We can highly recommend this very personal facility in mountains of Co Monaghan.

The manager went to some effort to cater for the fact that my family are all vegetarian but, as is often the case, despite best intentions, catering for vegetarians was rather out of their range. Very friendly staff, good and attentive service, all done with a smile. It is a really popular local place for the Sunday roast meals but anything other than that is rather unimaginative and plain. The bar was lively and friendly enough and we managed to cordon off an area as it became very busy. Haven't stayed in the hotel rooms overnight but it can be a lively place so not sure a good night's sleep would follow if we did. All in all a decent enough simply local that keeps the locals happy with roast based meals. But anything outside of that and they struggle. It is worth remembering some 10% of the UK population do not eat meat and many many more like to have a non-meat alternative when eating out. That is a lot of business to lose so it makes sense to think about widening the range of food to bring us in.…

Hotel set in lovely surroundings with great walks nearby if so inclined! From booking rooms for large family group, staff were very helpful. 4 older kids had their own room with bunk beds, single and double bed which they enjoyed fighting over! Rooms are fine and beds very comfortable. Bathrooms are basic but if you're only taking a shower they do fine. Patchy internet which bothered the kids more than the adults.Nice dinner in the bar the first evening we were there. Standard breakfast in the morning with choice of cereals and the usual fry up. Very reasonably priced for what you get.
