Mc Carthys Guest House was just the best- it was so cozy and clean and in the perfect location to explore Westport and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Geraldine goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Her kindness and care made the entire stay feel so special.

Stayed recently with some friends on a cycling holiday. Great location in the heart of Westport with easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants. Very close to the entrance to the park at Westport House with it's delightful walks and scenery. Geraldine, our hostess was very friendly, helpful and flexible with our booking. Breakfast was delicious in the dining room and very relaxing Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a very relaxing stayover. Only downside was the pub was closed .

Geraldine met our group of 11 with a warm and friendly Irish welcome. Due to restrictions the pub wasn’t open, but Geraldine had very kindly booked restaurants for both nights for our group. A great central location for our weekend, clean and comfortable with a great breakfast. See you next year

Stayed here for one night. Parking on street not expensive. Double room with en suit shower. Tea making facilities in general common room. Shower appearance clean but when in shower looked up and shower heads were in need of a good clean apart from that oversight everything else appeared clean. Breakfast very good with plenty of choices pancakes fry’s porridge etc. Overall good vale for €95 room. Host very friendly and helpful.
