Stayed in the Castlecourt hotel after climbing Croagh Patrick. The hotel is easy to find, there is underground parking available and it is only a 2 minute walk to the town center where all the nice pubs are. The evening food in the bar was excellent, as was the breakfast. I couldn’t fault this hotel and I would have given it a 5 star rating only far the heat in the rooms. We had three rooms booked for everyone in our party and everyone commented on how hot the rooms were and how they found it hard to sleep despite the fact we all had the room windows open all night.

Spent 3 nights in the castlecourt during easter. We had had a newly renovated room which was comfortable and classy. Staff at front desk and bar very friendly and professional.Couches in reception a bit dated and torn. Perfect place to stay in westport just a stroll away from the town and the excellent greenway.

Out standing stay the staff are so helpful. We asked if we could get a room that was not to far to walk to as the lady that I was sharing with would not be great walking they gave us a lift right beside the lift so it made it easier to go in and out of the hotel. The food was fabulous we had two nights bed and breakfast with two evening meals. The choice on the evening meal menu was very good. The breakfast in the morning the staff could not do enough for us. There was a lovely guy called David I asked him for a mug for my coffee and he went and found one for me. This made my day as I don't like little cups. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. I can't wait to go back again as we had such a lovely time there there was music every night in the bar and you could also have your food in the bar if you want to. The hotel is kept lovely there are lovely arrangement of flowers all over the hotel the leisure centre is also a nice place to go to and relax. I would highly recommend the castlecourt hotel for any occasion.

Myself and wife stayed at the Plaza hotel for a special occasion, we now wish we hadn't. We wish we had chosen to stay at the Castlecourt as we had on a previous occasion. I have already left a review of our experience at the Plaza which involved meals/waiter service. Very poor and as such will not choose to stay or dine there again. The Castlecourt for dining was excellent with the waiter Jack excelling in what he did, nothing was to much bother. Any query we had was quickly answered by asking the chef. Well done Jack, the Castlecourt should be proud of the service you provide to the customers. It is service of this type that will certainly make us return and stay again.

We all enjoyed our meals/breakfast, our rooms were very clean and well maintained. We would all highly recommend a stay at the Castlecourt hotel

A recent stay in this fabulous hotel was just what we needed. The hotel is easy to find, has lots of parking underground, a luxurious feel and brilliant staff. The foyer has numerous places to sit, relax and watch the world go by. It is colourful and, like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean. We were greeted by friendly staff throughout and our every need was catered to with ease. Rooms are luxurious, spacious, very well equipped and extremely clean. There is a wide choice of breakfast dishes which are quickly prepared and presented piping hot. The staff in the bar are particularly attentive. Both Pat and Marie as well as Liam and others whose names we didn't get, made us feel relaxed and at home. There is a varied range of cocktails available too. We will definitely be back soon! Many thanks to all.

Recently visited the Castlecourt Hotel for our second time availing of a midweek special offer. Facilities are second to none - spacious rooms, great food and bright, large, but yet cosy, public areas to sit, relax and watch the world go by with a pint. However, for us, the main assist is the staff. We made our booking with Jamie, and had the pleasure of dealing with him until check-out. Every staff member we meet seems to be very happy in there jobs! Upgraded our room to the new Superior rooms for our stay and we were not disappointed. Leisure centre onsite is nice for a morning dip. Looking forward to our next stay already.

This is a well kept large hotel but there is one exception: the gym equipment is filthy. I used the stationary bikes and it looked like they had never, ever been cleaned. Also, for me at least, the hotel wifi did not work in the gym. So while the hotel itself is well run and the staff friendly, they need to pay much closer attention to hygienic standards in the gym.
