Detailed Reviews
Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for heading to a beach, coastal drive, visitor attractions and walks. Food exceptional, great variety and portions are just the right amount. Adherence to guidelines carried out to the letter with very little discomfort to the guest. Spacing in public areas and limit on number of people allowed in lifts actually made for more comfort in this hotel. Rooms very clean, however if booking a harbour view it can be a little noisy late at night when people are passing and early in the morning with deliveries etc. Otherwise lovely to view the world going by from these rooms.
Would recommend this hotel as a very pleasant stay cation and very good value for money.

My husband and I stayed in the Westport coast hotel at the end of July for 4 nights on a b&b and dinner package.
We really could not fault this hotel, there was sanitizer units placed regularly throughout the hotel and the hotel was spotless. We both felt very safe during our stay considering the pandemic.
The staff could not have been more helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was first class and service was very attentive.
All in all we would definitely plan to stay again in the future.

Just back from 3 nights at Westport Coast hotel 2 adults and 2 children as part of a package which included breakfast and 2 meals. The location is fab we have stayed before in the town but we really enjoyed being on the harbour and it's a beautiful walk in to town through Westport house. We were disappointed with the room as we found it quite small for a family of four and the room was a little tired looking but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The network coverage was non existent and we had emergency calls only which was really annoying as we needed to keep in touch with my elderly mother who wouldn't have access to apps like WhatsApp so we couldn't ring her from the room. Breakfast was lovely especially the veggie breakfast and any of the staff we encountered were lovely. Food in the bar and restaurant was ok. Everything due to covid has to be pre-booked such as Pol times, breakfast and meal times in the restaurant and bar but that is perfectly understandable and we felt everything was very well organised. We had a lovely break but I don't think we would stay here again as the room was a bit tight for the 4 of us but would definitely return as a couple on our own.

Dear Olivia, I was very happy to read that you enjoyed your family staycation, I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to all the team here. It has been a challenging couple of months but it is nice to hear that the hard work of all the team is being noticed and recognised. We do have interconnecting rooms which offer much more space than our regular rooms and also have a lovely harbour view, alternatively our junior and deluxe suites offer more spacious rooms with the added benefit of air conditioning. I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Regards, John Fraser General Manager

Just spent five nights here. To be fair, its difficult to give reviews during the new normal of holidaying in Covid world. However, I can only go on what we got during our stay. Staff were excellent and friendly and the food was very good, we were booked for breakfast and evening meal. However, the menu didn't change for the entire week, maybe this is a Covid issue. You could however, dine in the restaurants of the sister hotels of the Coast, providing a slot was free, which was difficult to get. However, these are all a taxi ride away, if you wanted to leave the car and have a drink etc. Parking in the Coast is a nightmare, it is semi underground and has extremely tight spaces and is small. If you come back late in the evening after being out all day,its very hard to get a space. Rooms are dated looking and really could do with refurbishing. No bottled water in the rooms, again, maybe Covid related. To be fair, there was hand sanitizer everywhere and all staff wore visors, so it did feel safe. I've given three stars and feel a bit mean about that, I just feel it lacked the touches and extras that you would expect at this level and if the rooms got updated, it wouldn't take a lot to get four or even five star ratings.

Dear Sean, Many thanks for taking the time to post your review, while we are operating in very different times it is still good to get feedback such as yours, we do not know how long the current restrictions will go on for and as such we will have to adapt to our customers needs. We are restricted as to what we can have in the bedrooms and as such the little accessories are no longer in the rooms, that being said it is not as standard to have bottled water in our rooms, they are however available in our upgraded Gold rooms and replenished daily. Our new Restaurant Menu is designed to be as manageable as possible and to ensure quality service for every customer. We are planning on adding daily specials to this menu as as frequent guests such as yourself have a wide variety of options. Again, thank you for taking the time to post your review & I look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

A large group of us stayed here for two nights which included b&b and one evening meal. The food throughout our stay was fantastic, matched by the service, comfort and spa facilities.
Not to be turned down due to distance from the centre. Easy walk or quick taxi.
Big thank you to Cait & Anna for their help in organising our group and to the rest of the staff for their warm welcome and service throughout our stay.
We will be back.

Had dinner here last night while staying in Westport. We had 3 adults and 3 kids in our party and asked for a table outside. They got us a large table outside straight away which was lovely. The waitress Shauna/Michelle was so friendly and helpful even with the Chaos of three kids. Drinks came so fast and the food was also very quick but this was not a bad thing because everything was so fresh and delicious. Their Pasta Arabiata was delicious and a great portion with plenty of chicken, steak sandwich was also beautiful and such a great portion. All the boys food was also fresh and great portions. Anything we needed through out our meal was got straight away and by a smiling friendly waitress who had a big station to look after. We go here each year and will definitely dine here again ext year and will also be considering staying because the hotel interior also looked amazing and newly renovated. Bathrooms were also spotless and they have plenty of hand sanitize stations around the hotel.

This is our second time staying at the Westport Coast Hotel this year but we have enjoyed several visits here over the past number of years. The hotel is beautifully situated along the coast at the Quays on the fringes of Westport. We received a warm welcome (coffee/Tea and scones on arrival), and our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the lake, and the Quay. The staff at all levels were courteous, friendly and helpful, from the receptionists to the waiters, waitresses to the staff who cleaned our room. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, providing all the necessary amenities.
We have always enjoyed the excellent food and the variety that is on offer, whether in the more formal dining room of the Waterfront restaurant on the fourth floor or dining in the Bistro on the ground floor. The hotel offers five day breaks for those of us in our Golden Years, some of which are designated theme weeks. They offer a number of activities and usually one bus trip, if you wish to take it up.
The hotel is located in an ideal location to the town centre or to the various scenic routes amidst the mountains, not least Croagh Patrick in a southerly direction, the lost Valley, Kylemore Abbey or to Achill Island towards the the north of the town. You can stroll into and through the Westport House estate situated a short five minute walk from the hotel and peruse around the variety of shops locally or in the town. Shops including Foxford creations, Seasalt clothing, Carriag Dunn. Portmore outdoor clothing to name but a few. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes for all tastes. One of our favourites is Malloys Pub on the top floor. The townsfolk are friendly and helpful. You can hire bikes to cycle along the designated cycle paths along the coast in both directions from the hotel. We have taken train trips to Athlone. The castle is closed on Mondays as are some shops. We had a lovely light lunch in the Beans & Leaves Cafe in the town. Thoroughly recommend it. Staff friendly and food delicious We went on bus trips to Galway city on occasions, using our over sixties passes.
Whether you wish a relaxed holiday or an activity holiday the hotel offers both.

On arrival we were greeted by various helpful reception staff but Aine had an excellent approach with brilliant communication skills when asked for a room with a view. Lunch at the coast bar was delicious and breakfast which consisted of a buffet of fresh fruit, cereals etc with hot food items served to the table, all very impressive. The staff at breakfast time extremely efficient with a focus on ensuring everyone was content and happy. In addition a brilliant focus on Covid practices and guidelines between breakfast sittings. Hakem demonstrates a very professional, kind approach at the Waterfront Restaurant to ensuring a very pleasant experience for everyone. When becoming somewhat unwell on Saturday evening; John the manger as soon as he became aware, linked in to offer support and understanding with a follow up on Sunday morning. John's excellent communication skills combined with an excellent professional approach ensured our stay at the Westport Coast Hotel was an extremely positive experience, encouraging us to return on an annual basis to such a fantastic location overlooking the harbour and it's rugged environment.

My Husband and I are just back from a 3 Day breakaway at the Westport Coast.Hotel at CLew Bay. Lovely Hotel with great views from the front over CLew Bay. We ate 2 nights in the rooftop Waterfront Restaurant. Food was excellent and good choices both for dinner and breakfast
In the restaurant we watched Hakim the Restaurant Supervisor scan his eyes over how things were running. He does an excellent job quietly and professionally and nothing is any trouble for him..Danny the young guy with the curly hair was very pleasant and always quickly clearing away dishes. I visited the Spa which was a lovely treat and was well looked after by Sarah. I have to say all Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful despite being very busy. This was our first visit to this corner of Westport which is quiet and buzzing. 20 minutes walk takes you into a very busy town. Well done to all. Many thanks. 👏👏

Stayed in this beautiful hotel from 30th August to 2nd September. We really enjoyed our stay in room 109. Nice comfortable room with a view of the pond in front of the hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, Even the housekeeping staff on the way to breakfast every morning would greet us. Breakfast was lovely in the rooftop restaurant, gorgeous views of Croagh Patrick. Good variety available for breakfast, their homemade orange marmalade is the nicest I’ve ever tasted, I’m sorry I didn’t ask for a jar to take home! We ate in the Coast Bar for two out of the three nights. Food was so tasty. Our waitress, Aoife, was extremely friendly and helpful with giving us ideas on where to go and what to see. I loved this Hotel and would definitely stay here again everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Dear Guest,
Many thanks for your question, our Junior & Deluxe rooms face towards the rear of the hotel so unfortunately they do not have a harbour view but both rooms are very spacious.
Our Master Suite however is a forward-facing room so it would have a harbour view and has a balcony.
Thanks for the question.
