Detailed Reviews
Such a beautiful period house with a charming hostess, peaceful ambience, great location in the town and value for money. We appreciated the high quality bed linen (including a top sheet - a rarity) and the variety of toiletries. A kettle and cups were made available to us and the individualised breakfast was lovely. Ample public parking outside costs around €3 for the day.

+1
Such a LOVELY experience at this cozy B&B! Aside from the gorgeous classic style of the house and rooms (and how comfortable the room was to stay in), the highlights truly were the sweet and kind host, Finoula, and her little dog Rocco. Finoula was extremely hospitable, wonderful to chat with (especially about dogs) and cooks an incredible breakfast! As pup lovers ourselves (and missing our own Westie mix pup at home), we were beyond excited to have one of our hosts be the cutie Rocco! Finoula was kind enough to let us play with Rocco whenever we were downstairs and even for a little while before we checked out. Additionally, the room was spacious and cozy, the bathroom had everything we needed and the house is right in the heart of the town so it’s easy to walk anywhere. When we come back to Ireland, we’re definitely staying here again. Highly recommend!

Roscoin House is well situated in Westport, just a short walk to the to the town center. A beautiful, big home, it is well decorated with traditional furnishings. The proprietor is welcoming, and she serves a very nice Irish breakfast, customizing to suit a guest’s taste. The room was large and well appointed. The only downsides: there was a certain staleness as if from cigarette smoke, and bed linens could have been of higher quality.

Great breakfast, good quality full Irish and fruit and cereals of choice. Nice woman running it, who made it her business to get a pot of tea for a couple who had just landed from
New York. Warm 70s/80s/90s Irish decor. Clean comfy room with decent shower, plenty towels, and proper bottles of shower gel shampoo etc

Stayed here for one night recently. The house is an imposing building constructed in the 1920's. The richly decorated property has high ceilings, formal dining room and sitting room and had a country house feel.. The bedroom was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the highlight with a wide range of fresh fruit cereals etc. My wife is vegetarian and a special hot breakfast was prepared for her. The owner Finola was extremely welcoming and we felt that our custom was valued. Location is perfect just a two minute walk to the town centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 1 night and would have loved to stay longer. This is a beautiful, elegant house with a great welcome, fine rooms, deliciously comfortable beds and a quality breakfast. What more could you ask for: it's also very close to town centre, peaceful and quiet and the fantastic Greenway runs from right beside it so you can get a good walk in before bed or breakfast.
I would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely stay there again, for longer if possible. 5 stars.

From the moment the front door opened, we were welcomed into this beautiful home. The house is amazing full of charm and character and not to mention the beautiful flowers grown in the garden. We stayed 7 nights and what a wonderful place to stay! Finula the owner is the most amazing lady - nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel right at home. If you are looking for clean lines and a contemporary feel you won’t find it here. This is a beautiful old house with stunning original features - a true feeling of a house that’s been loved. The Irish cooked breakfast was gorgeous and lots of it but the array of fresh fruits cereals and yoghurts was amazing. Nothing was too much for this warm hearted generous lady to make our stay a memorable one and we will definitely be back.
