We stayed for 3 nights in a nice large room. There's fresh drinking water, tea & coffee maker in the room, as well as a hair drier. The bed was ok, with soft pillows and a wonderful comforter. The WiFi was good. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful - cereals, yogurt, juices as well as eggs, fresh scones, croissants, tea, coffee, and porridge with Bailey's! (what?! amazing!) The house is a short drive from town, which makes sight-seeing easy. Helen & Patrice are both very friendly and easy to talk with (be careful if you have plans lol). I think our only issue may be the parking situation - it's a bit tight.
Had such a lovely stay at this B&B, the owners go out of their way to help. The breakfast was the best we have had on our stays in B&B’s. The beds and pillows also great, overall a fantastic stay. Easy drive into the town, and fabulous music in the local Pubs.
We stayed two nights, the fourth location on our 2week road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way. A comfortable B&B about 15 minutes walk from Westport town centre with a wide selection of eating options & Music Bars. Patrice & Helen's breakfast offerings are excellent but we felt some other aspects were a little tired & dated, especially the House Rules given in the room directory!
Comfortable, quiet, delightful hosts, and wonderful breakfast. Select from Irish, continental, and omelet breakfasts. Homemade breads. Walking distance to city centre. Fantastic comforters on the bed. Lovely town and area. Very friendly.
Gorgeous lodge , stayed here for two nights with family as we came to watch Christy Moore. Fabulous location 10 minute walk from pubs/bars/restaurants. Breakfast was great with the nicest homemade scone which came out warm! Rooms were clean and very comfortable. They were able to accommodate a 3 person room. Staff were super friendly and attentive.
Helen and Patrice are a warm, friendly, and humorous couple. Their hospitality, breakfasts, and suggestions made my two night stay with my father an excellent experience all around. The rooms are comfortable, tidy, and warm. The entire building is well suited for a B and B. The breakfasts were simply put incredible. As always, the hosts make a place great to stay and Helen and Patrice did this amazingly.
We traveled 10 days through the west and north of Ireland and spent two nights at the charming Woodside Lodge B&B in Westport. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and their breakfast was the best of our whole trip! The owners are friendly and helpful. We can't wait to stay again!
We've been to Ireland 3 times and the Woodside Lodge is hands down, our favorite stay yet! Helen and Patrice are the kindest, most accommodating hosts, and the home itself was beautiful! Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable, with a gorgeous view of the garden. The house is a perfect distance to walk into the Westport town center for fabulous drinks, food, and music! The breakfast...oh my god, the breakfast! Get Patrice's omelette, it'll change your life! We'll be coming back for years to come!
The nicest people run the place. They have wonderful accommodations (private rooms and showers). However, the best part of the stay was the breakfast. I am visiting from America and wow have I never had a breakfast like that. So delicious, so many options, and it came included in our stay!
