What a little gem this hotel turned out to be. My husband and I stayed in The Mariner for two nights and were very impressed. The hotel has been completely renovated to a very high standard. Everywhere is fresh, modern and bright. Our bedroom whilst small had every modern convenience. We had a very large comfortable bed. The bathroom was very modern with a large shower head and high class products. We ate in The Curious Fish Restaurant and found the food excellent and very reasonably priced. The breakfast room was very pretty and food also excellent. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Westport. The public car park across the road from the hotel is very convenient and cheap at only two euros for 24 hours. We found all the staff to be very professional and friendly. They were always ready to have a chat with you. We would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on returning maybe later in the year.

Nice modern hotel with decent rooms. Food not great, pints not great, staff very friendly, room comfortable but noisy. Hotel in located in a good spot with lots of places around to eat and drink. All in all, hotel is good, as is location, maybe eat and drink elsewhere though.

WOW… This hotel has it all. Location, fantastic amenities, super breakfast, large rooms and very clean. This was one of my favorite hotels during our trip to Ireland. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. The difference between the food at the Curious Fish and other restaurants is the quality of the food. The Curious Fish uses high quality ingredients and you can tell the difference. The location of the hotel is also fantastic. The hotel is near the city center so you can walk to all restaurants and pubs. There is a public parking lot across from the hotel which cost 2 euros a day. The rooms in the hotel are clean, large and include all amenities. The view from the hotel isn’t the greatest but the interior ambiance more than makes up for it. In addition to the dining area, there is a bar area and a sitting area in the lobby. The hotel also has an elevator. Highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling to Westport.

Brilliant hotel in great location. Lovely, helpful staff, great food, comfortable beds, the breakfast room is one of the most beautiful rooms I've seen. Central location. Parking across the street for only €2 per day. The only very minor quibble is that the two lovely people serving breakfast in a busy room seemed to be run off their feet. A third server is badly needed. All in all, a very highly recommended hotel.
