Booked here for 3 nights earlier this year and had such a good time we ended up staying an extra night. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Breakfast was outstanding with an excellent choice. The best part is the location right in the town near all the pubs, restaurants and shops. 10/10.
Went on a solo trip to Westport and stayed in Marnier. I had stayed in it before when it was the Mill, always loved the location. The renovations they have completed for the Marnier are unreal. The rooms are so modern and the bathrooms are fabulous. I love stand alone showers. They have proper lighting in their bathrooms aswell for doing your makeup. Ill definitely stay again, so handy for food and drinks in town aswell. Horans just round the corner.
We stayed for 3 nights for a friends birthday celebration. The people working in the hotel couldnt do enough for us very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very large and comfy. However from the start of breakfast service which is 7:30 as people left their rooms their room doors slammed shut making it very difficult to sleep. We also found it impossible to have an afternoon nap because of the loud bang as someone left their room. Other friends had the same issue its such a shame because its perfectly placed in Westport but the noise is soo annoying never had this issue in any hotels we have stayed in.
Stayed here last weekend for 2 nights with a family group of 12. Enjoyed every minute. The hotel itself is modern and clean but it's the staff who make it! They were so friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. The food is lovely and how nice it was to sit and get our orders taken for breakfast rather than the usual buffet fare in most hotels now. I left 2 chargers behind in my room and they were mailed back to me, no charge. Would highly recommend The Mariner and is certainly where I will stay again when I return to westport.
We picked this hotel for a family reunion of 12 people. Staff were very friendly and extremely obliging. The hotel was newly decorated ,warm and spotless. Beds were comfy and most rooms were a good size. The food was excellent and breakfast was served at your table with a large variety on offer. The hotel is ideally located just a few steps from the main street. Overall one of the best hotel experiences that we have had and would definitely return.
Just in the door from a mid-week break to Westport, train from Dublin, stayed two nights at The Mariner. The perfect hotel for us, really nice, helpful staff, Carla swiftly checked us in with a warm welcome, spotless room, fab shower, beautiful breakfast, easy access to the town, approx. 30 seconds to the first two real Irish pubs! Even in winter Westport has a buzz about it. Countless lovely pubs, many with live music, cafés, restaurants & no end of eclectic shops, keep an eye out for the old-style sweet shop. Westport is a unique, historic, colorful town, Wikipedia it. Ask for local map, consider visiting Westport house, very easy walk from hotel.
We stayed in The Mariner for 2 nights in November and would highly recommend it. It's 10 minutes walk from the train station, right in the centre of town. It's very clean and bright and very welcoming. Our room was a lovely size with every amenity you could need - tea/ coffee making facilities, safe, iron, plenty of sockets and a desk if you need to do some work. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. There was a rainfall shower which was very easy to use and plenty of space to move around. The bar was comfortable with a full range of drinks and cocktails. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good quality with an excellent choice available. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
A very central, boutique hotel. Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, amazing shower & exceptional breakfast. 5 star ⭐️ stay! Excellent reception team & management. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Our large party really enjoyed the stay especially me. I will most definitely be back!
A perfect hotel in centre of Westport! Newly opened and lovely decor! Our room was at front of hotel but once rush hour traffic eased it was very quiet! Dinner was lovely and breakfast was perfect, on a par with Ashford Castle, as we had stayed there the night before! All the staff we spoke to were friendly and efficient! A great short stay but somewhere we shall keep on our list when we come back to Westport!
Just back from three night stay at The Mariner and thoroughly enjoyed it,centrally located in the bustling town of Westport this modern hotel really excels. Comfortable modern rooms, great bathrooms although we found the shower base very slippy with no mat or handrails they are an accident waiting to happen. Great food both for breakfast and dinner, service a little slow at breakfast time but the quality of food is worth waiting for. Parking is directly across the road at a cost of 2 euro daily. Westport is as busy as ever, couple of good nights spent in the Porterhouse.Enjoyed some good hiking taking in Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick. Would highly recommend The Mariner for anyone thinking of visiting.
