This B&B is located right at the edge of town on busy Quay St. I did not notice any traffic noise, however we were in a room on the backside of the house. There are two small parking lots, one on the front side of the house and one on the back. We had a car to fit 4 people and their luggage so it was a not as small as most vehicles we saw on the road (a Renault Skada Octavia) and it was very tight getting in and out of the lots. Margaret was very welcoming and showed us around the property. She also offered suggestions on where to eat. We were in Rm 3 on the 2nd floor which was comfortable. There was no shelf at all in the shower for stuff which was a little inconvenient. The wifi worked fine for us and the bed was comfortable. There are quite a few rooms here so it was bigger than most B&Bs we stayed at during our trip. Margaret has you pick a time for breakfast as they can't serve everyone at the same time with just she and her husband cooking. The breakfast area is surrounded by glass and has a wonderful view of the mountain. You pick from a breakfast menu and there is also cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, etc out to help yourself. They have porridge, omelettes, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc and the food was all very good, and plenty to eat. I believe Margaret told us they were retiring in about 3 weeks so this place may no longer be available. It was a pleasant stay.

Christy and Margaret are great hosts. This is a wonderful property-nice room, great location (walk into town) and fantastic breakfast. Christy and Margaret are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend. Only negative, and this is NOT major, is that the shower is a bit claustrophobic. Now I am six foot five so this may not be an issue to most people. Again, nothing major but noteworthy for me. This is a great place to see Westport and don't forget to set a whole day aside for Achill Island,

This is a lovely place with wonderful host. Views out the back of the mountain and countryside but we opted for a lovely front room due to stairs. Very comfortable and spacious bathroom, guest even with cannonball run

Friendly hosts Christy and Margaret are most welcoming and helpful. Convenient location just a few minutes walk to the charming city centre. Comfortable, bright rooms and a hearty, delicious breakfast in a lovely dining room with great view on a clear day.

My husband and I stayed here overnight in Room #3. The room was clean and a nice size. (The shower stall in the bathroom was a little small, but we found this to be the standard throughout our Irish road trip.) The B&B is located on the busy Quay Road. Because of this, we were nervous that the traffic noise might be an issue, but thankfully it never was. (We were bothered more by the noise from our neighbors in the next room!) We appreciated the parking right out front so we could leave the car and take the short 10-15 minute walk in to town. Margaret and Christy are wonderful hosts and make a lovely breakfast.

We have visited Adare House as a part of our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly - the breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed the lovely breakfast room. The bedroom was very comfortable, and very clean as well. Not to forget that the hosts gave as an excellent recommendation for a restaurant, and were very knowledgable about Achill Island. This made our visit to Achill Island a trip to never forget! We can only recommend a stay in this B&B.

What a perfect stay we had at Adare House. Margaret was so incredibly hospitable and made our stay extra special by going above and beyond. She took a real interest in our stay and was very helpful with recommendations for day trips and places to eat. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed and the breakfast was outstanding - especially the homemade soda bread. The location was convenient - 10 minute walk to town, 10 minute walk to the harbour, so ideal really. Would recommend staying for a good few days and hiring a car so you an get out in the surrounding area and see the beautiful landscape. Overall a really memorable experience - we will be back!

This delightful spot is perfect to recharge batteries and prepare for another day on the road. Great hosts, comfortable room, delicious huge breakfast. As we left in the morning, we were stopped several times on the road by sheep who were convinced that the grass was greener on the other side.

Just stayed at Adare House for the 4th time. An excellent family run B&B with comfortable beds, tv in room, wifi and a great breakfast with a view of Crough Patrick. The owners are warm and friendly and very helpful. Short walk to town and free parking. You'll like it.
