Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Easy to find and great location. Bernie met us at the door with such a warm introduction we felt right at home. The room was very comfortable and spotless! Had biscuits and coffee, tea available for the morning. For breakfast was cereal, fruit, juice, and of course the full Irish breakfast was available. For us, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend.

I think this is the best BnB I've ever stayed in. Only 5 minutes from the town centre and a tenner in a taxi. I travelled with my brother for a football match in Castlebar. The room was big, beds extremely comfortable I could have stayed there all day, it was better than some hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast is just outrageously good. We both got a full Irish and both agreed it was the best we've ever had when staying in any hotel or BnB. It was the perfect amount of food without feeling too stuffed to go about the day. The owner, Bernie, couldnt have done enough for us, even offering to drop us into town for a pint so we could leave the car. I've already said to my partner we should return for a weekend to Castlebar and wouldnt hesitate to book Rocksberry again. Just a fantastic place to stay.

the location was fine, rooms clean, breakfast lovely.
so you would assume i would return or recommend?
no chance.
the "hostess" i found to be terribly rude and abrupt, and for her attitude alone, i would never. I only stayed 1 night and it was more than enough, to be made feel like an unconvenience.

On our second night of our Ireland tour (12days) we stayed here! It put the standard really high! Thank you for your hospitality. Your suggestion to visit Archill Islands and the pub suggestion were perfect! Hope to welcome you in Tenerife!

The friendliness of the Irish is legendary. At Rocksberry, Bernadette, John and their fabulous family added another dimension to that legend. Simply...it was SOO comfortable in every feasible way, - the MASSIVE friendliness, the courtesy, the comfort.NOT forgetting the breakfast - second to none. Nothing was too much for this lovely family to do to help in any and every way. These delightful people have an amazing knack of making one feel at home!...Will I go back ??...COUNT on it!..Honestly, there is something special about these people and this part of the world...cannot put my finger on it...but go there....find out for yourself!

We stayed for two nights. Rocksberry B&B is situated in a great location, close to Castlebar and Westport. We ate dinner in Castlebar, where there are some great pubs. We also spent a day in Westport. The service was great at Rocksberry, it was very clean. Breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs and ham.

Wonderful place to stay for one or more nights. We stayed here during our trip through the Wild Atlantic Way and at first were a bit disappointed it was quite hard to find given the directions provided to us by the travel agency. But this turned quite quickly into joy and happiness when de saw the surroundings and the rooms. All perfectly ok. Breakfast was tiptop. A place to remember when are in this region again.
