Travelled far to get here but did due to the amazing pictures on the website. Arrived and realised the Breaffy woods hotel was next door to a Vaccine centre and the car park was quite busy. Eventually got parked and the got booked in that's when we realised Breaffy Woods is basically the budget version of Breaffy house which is also on the resort and a 5 minute walk away,. The rooms were very basic and so was the overall hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was also fine. The pool you had to walk into the Breaffy house area and you had access to there pool which I must say was amazing and the kids loved. The park and the mini golf was also outside Breaffy house and both the kids loved. Overall the grounds in front of Breaffy house were amazing. it had fairy walks and woodland trails which the kids loved. Next time I come 100% I will book Breaffy house Hotel as the rooms and the actual hotels looked amazing compared to Breaffy woods and the cost wasn't much more.…
I had a one night stay in this Hotel in August. We were in room 3032 (two adults and 2 children). We had previously stayed in this hotel and enjoyed our stay Our stay this time was not so positive. On arrival to our room, we noticed our room was not cleaned fully. The accommodation staff came within a few minutes of me informing reception who seemed to be expecting my call and knew the room wasn’t ready. The accommodation staff removed the dirty cups and food mess, flushed the toilet which had urine in it, left additional clean towels all while we remained in the room. There were traces of a person sitting or lying on top of the bed but it looked like the bed sheets were not pulled back so the bed didn’t appear to have been slept in. I didn't want to make a scene and was glad that the accommodation staff were there so promptly and thought it would be ok. However, as the evening progressed, I found nuts and other food debris around the room. My 3-year-old in fact picked up a nut from under a chair but I quickly took it from her before she put it in her mouth. Ordinarily I would have got on with it but in COVID times on reflection this less than 5-minute quick clean was not adequate. No disinfectant was used. The table was wiped down with a dry cloth. The policy of double cleaning & fogging was most definitely not adhered to on this occasion. I was sure that I would be offered some token of goodwill on check-out or something would be sent to the room but this did not happen. I sent a follow up email which was passed to management and the response was wholly inadequate and ambiguous. I replied to this email with questions & concerns but I never received a reply. I sent another mail to give them a chance to reply in case the email got missed but that was not answered either. I have found the hotel is fine if everything goes ok but if you have any issues then don't expect them to be resolved or dealt with in a professional manner. Its 4 months since we stayed there and it still annoys me and has lead me to posting this very negative review. The lack of communication is insulting. We paid for this stay and have been left feeling out of pocket as we didn't have a pleasant experience. This hotel take your money and don't seem to care if your experience is enjoyable or not.. Great stay. Fabulous hotel Grounds were spacious Food to a very high standard - I had the special lobster which was a nice treat Staff were very friendly and professionally Rooms were spotless Outside area was large and catered for all One to recommend
Excellent family hotel. Large comfortable room, fantastic leisure centre on site, beautiful grounds with a great outdoor bar area with live music in the evenings while the kids are in the playground nearby. Great service from all staff, in particular Heather and Sarah in Legends restaurant.
Got a great deal for one (Saturday) night in this hotel for a family of 4. The hotel is nothing fancy but it was perfect for the price we paid. Large room with one double bed, two single beds and lots of room to move around. Only negative about the room was it was very hot and there was no fan or air con, but it was fine for one night. There are two playgrounds for kids, a pool, a spa and three restaurants to choose from. We ate in healy macs bar. The food was nice but the service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter Charlton was amazing and deserves a massive shout out. He couldn't have been more pleasant or accommodating and was so good with the kids. The spa was lovely too, best full body massage ever by Elizabeth. I would return with the kids again.
First time here & will definitely return. Fantastic family hotel. Rooms very spacious & clean. Facilities excellent & staff extremely friendly & helpful. We ate in the hotel 3 nights & really enjoyed. Beautiful walks around the grounds. Kids loved the pool, crazy golf & Tennis courts. A very pleasant stay.
Clean hotel, nice food and had excellent service from David with the blonde hair who gave me my pizza which had cheese and chicken. Overall 6.78/10 would recommend to a friend and a family member or two ✌️
Great evening spent in the Woods bar. A special thanks to our friendly bar man Marcus for recommending lovely rose wine and such friendly service. The pizzas were delicious and we are looking forward to the rest of our stay. Very kind to our children too.
Stayed here with another family for our annual summer holiday. Very reasonable price wise, kids had a ball between the pool, playground and crazy golf facilities. The wait staff and the bar staff were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome with particular mention to Marcus, James and Aoife in the Woods Hotel and Kaitriona in the House Hotel. The food in both hotels was lovely but became repetitive after 5 days. Very suitable for families.
