Very unfortunately, never have I stayed in accomodation so filthy. The floors had not been cleaned and the kitchen had next to no functionality. Guests were also repeatedly told not to swear in the pub. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid if possible.

I had to contact the number provided on Google search at the last moment due to a medical appointment. Unsure if I would be able to stay, with a few other places i contacted were only taking essential workers with HSE or court services. The lady who is the owner (i did not get her name) was more than helpful. When I arrived i called the lady, I was met at reception area. Covid guidance met by both the lady and myself. I was shown to my room, everything I needed was there. I requested to stay an extra night as I could not face 3 and half hour drive home. Once again treated with kindness and understanding by the lady. I was offered fresh towels etc, but I did not require anything. If this is the way that all guests are looked after, I would have no issues ever recommending this lovely establishment to anyone. Thank you to the Lady owner who made me feel so welcome, at a time I was so down. Aidan.

I would encourage others to never stay here! From start to finish it was a grim experience. No staff appear to use or be familiar with PPE. In fact they do not appear to adhere to any of the guidelines that must be adhered to during the pandemic. Customers can sit drinking all day, without having eaten a thing. The breakfast was horrid. On entering the room one of us nearly slipped as the floor in the wet in patches. The room was extremely damp, on entering you could get a strong moldy smell, you could feel it in the quilts of the bed they were very damp. Our skin was crawling. There was no vents in the room. On day two we asked for extra towels & toilet paper -only received the extra towels but did not get any toilet paper. They emptied the bathroom bin but left the one in the bedroom overflowing. A friend went to make a cup of tea only to find the soap for the bathroom was stored in the with the teas & coffees & on opening a UHT milk its contents were black! That is revolting!! It’s no wondering that they request you pay up front, as after that there appears to be no care or consideration for standard of service. There was one staff member who appeared to be nice, she didn’t appear to be Irish. But the rest were just best to be avoided. Again, I can not emphasize to you how dirty & grimy we felt on staying at this location! The shower was good thankfully but this was still far from an enjoyable experience as there was dirt & grime on the tiles & in the grout. Most chilling of all was seeing the shadow of a male clearly intoxicated walking to our bedroom window & listening to our conversations outside, we had to leave the window open to get some air into the room as it smelt so damp. If you were to ask my humble opinion, places like that should be shut down. They are a complete liability in this current environment. No phone numbers were even taken for contact tracing.
