Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had a lovely stay with Maureen. My first visit in her Woodview Lodge Bed and Breakfast. After a totally refreshing nights sleep followed by a super breakfast I was totally relaxed. Maureen's lovely friendly manner was a delight to any visitor. Overall a fantastic overnight visit while I was attending a wedding. Thank you very much Maureen.

Nice quiet location, just off the main road, small private B & B with car parking, friendly & helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Our room was a bit cramped but was clean & comfortable and value for money. well situated and central for visiting Co. Mayo. We would stay again

I enjoyed my stay here. It was perfect for a solo trip. The parking was free and convenient. The Wifi connection was strong and reliable. I enjoyed the breakfast immensely! I stayed here for one night when I visited Ballintubber Abbey. It is also only a short distance from the Knock Shrine.

A nice, quiet bed and breakfast with a warm welcome, close to Castlebar and well-placed for exploring Mayo and Galway in the west of Ireland. The facilities are good, with en-suites attached to the bedrooms, and a lounge to relax in. Very good choice of food for breakfast.

My husband and I stayed in Woodview Lodge last Saturday night, we were delighted with our stay and with the service we received and the owner Maureen so friendly. The Breakfast on Sunday was nicer that any hotel we have stayed in. The fresh fruit salad was so tasty, the cooked breakfast was delicious and you could tell it was cooked to order. We would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to family and friends, value for money and a great location. 10 out of 10 for Maureen

Friendly, kind staff and clean rooms.
Great breakfast and one lovely cup of coffee.

Great! Great! Would visit again for sure.

They were an amazing couple with a warm welcome to their guests. Again and again cannot stop and not stay that they were lovely people with clean rooms and good breakfast options at a reasonable price.

We arrived at the check in time of 3:30 and was greeted warmly by the owners son. He was very attentive and let us know he was available if we needed anything.
Room was clean however it was very cold as the window was left open but heating was turned on later. Shower was easy to work. Would have liked to been offered more wash products as there was only conditioner in a dispenser.
Good location. Only few minute drive from castlebar.
Breakfast was lovely. Menu was varied and the host did not mind amending dishes to suit your preference.
Host was very welcoming. Would stay here again.

this is a lovely b&b. Stayed for one night. Nice rooms, breakfast was good.

I stayed with a friend, in an ensuite room. Bed was great, I slept well. In fact, we both did. Tv and wifi available. Everything was really clean and cosy. I would definitely recommend.

What a lovely homely B&B! Sometimes hotels are so sterile and impersonal you just have to stay in a B&B. The owner of the B&B Maureen is just so friendly. The room is cosy, clean, with fresh water and tea / coffee making facilities, and clean en-suite. It was nice to come in from work each evening to find my bed made, with water / tea / coffee refreshed. The breakfast is just fabulous. There is a large menu, from continental to your full irish. It is made fresh there and then, no microwave involved. The french toast is to die for! I would definitely stay here again, and would definitely recommend the Woodview Lodge B&B to anyone who is visiting Castlebar.
