Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here a few weeks ago.The staff were lovely, the breakfast was delicious and the room was spotless. I would definitely stay here again. It was also very central, near all the shops and bars and not too far from Mc Hale Park if you were staying over after a football match.

Initially very impressive ran almost to perfection but scratch beneath the surface and it is rotten to the core. We stayed there because of an interview at the local University, this overran a little. I was shocked to receive a phone call asking when were we returning that we should've vacated. On our return we found that our bags had been packed and outside, this would've been understandable except for the fact that a valuable ring was missing with a disgusting false nail in its place. When I talked to the owners about this was practically told it was our own fault and that their staff were totally reliable, reliable theives more like!! Rang the booking number a week or so later and got an automatic answer of the owner actually singing her message like an audition, needed

Damien. You both stayed in my Guesthouse on the 12th & 13th of June LAST YEAR. I run my business to the very best of my ability- loving what I do and looking after guests - which I have done for the past 19 years. I have NEVER EVER been called a thief by anyone before. As I already suggested to you a long time ago - if you would like to report this THEFT of your VALUABLE ring to the Guards I am more than willing to Co-operate. It was myself that put a few items on top of your bags before removing them from the room in the afternoon. I stored your belongings in a safe place so that the cleaning lady could proceed with her job. It is clearly stated that Check Out is 11.30am. An extention to this time is considered on request but since you both had your breakfast at 7.30am and never got in touch with me about a LATE check out I had no choice but to contact you by phone for a explaination. I need time to clean and air the room for new guests which is standard procedure. If your ring is lost/mislaid/stoled you have my sympathies BUT please DO NOT TRY to destroy my good name by calling me a THIEF. How dare you.

A colleague and I were in Castlebar and we began searching for B&Bs for that night. We were extremely disappointed by the mediocrity of the availability. This place had bad reviews, this place only opened in June, this place was overpriced. Panic was beginning to set in and the quickly setting sun was not making us feel any more comfortable. “We must be missing something!” my colleague said to me, and boy was she right. Out of nowhere we stumbled upon Kenny’s Guesthouse which hadn’t shown up in the previous umpteen searches of various sites. We called and asked for the price and basically confirmed then and there. We drove to the address and drove around the back for the on-site parking. All the parking was taken so shoved the car in beside a few wee bins. Susanna

Well, thank you for taking the time to give us a big hearty review. Ah, my holy pictures did not impress you! You will have to come back to eat in Bar One to see what you missed. I am happy to recommend Bar One because I have never had anyone come back to me who did not get a good meal. It was lovely having yourself and your colleague. Look forward to seeing you soon again in Kennys Guesthouse. Susanna

I stayed here while working in the area for a couple of days. The room was comfy, had good wifi and shower. Breakfast was great and the couple who ran it were very welcoming. Also had a great meal in Bar One restaurant right around the corner. I will stay again if I'm back in the area.

We stated at Kenny's on our way to Clare Island after flying into Knock. We were given a lovely welcome even though we were early. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast set us on our way the next morning. Just what we wanted.

Just the welcome a wet cyclist needed, including doing my laundry. Everything I needed in my room, the right amount of useful information and an excellent breakfast. Very good location close to the town centre.

A group of us from Chicago (4 women) spent 5 nights at Kennys Guesthouse in Castlebar. Lots of restaurants, bars & entertainment within walking distance. Breakfast was included.. There were multiple choices & no matter what you ordered it was huge. A small breakfast was 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, juice, toast & coffee/tea. The French toast was excellent. We had a room for 4, 1 double or queen bed ( can't remember) & 2 twins, a medium size bathroom with shower & 2 TV's which we never watched. There is a common living room with TV & coffee/tea & cookies. Charming accommodations & wonderful staff. Would go back again.
