Third time back in Kennys, lovely welcoming b and b. Fabulous food, very central and brilliant value. Will definitely be back !! Its been really convenient having a car park so no need to go searching for a space around town thoroughly recommend the local pub Bar 1 for a meal but advisable to book in advance

Kennys offer true Irish hospitality and nothing is too much trouble

Roll on 2020!

Kenny's is situated just off the main street in Castlebar town, brilliant situation , but a quiet area too. no loud people passing by, but there is double glazing too and the building is very up to date. But you do not have a long walk to go into town. 2 minutes. or less. Very clean, great facilities. tv. coffee and tea making, iron and ironing board available, great breakfasts. Very flexible owners-staff, customer oriented. tv lounge for guests. No negative comments to be found, they also have a customer car park.

Stayed here for one night before a wedding the next day. Arrived late in the evening and received a lovely warm welcome.

Rooms was nice and spacious and spotlessly clean. Had a lovely sleep in a comfy bed with not a sound all night.

Great choice for breakfast, all freshly cooked. Had a mishap in the morning getting lipstick on my dress but thanks to Susanna's daughter who got it cleaned for me! Ideal location only couple minutes walk to the main street.
Would highly recommend and will definitely return :)

Initially very impressive ran almost to perfection but scratch beneath the surface and it is rotten to the core. We stayed there because of an interview at the local University, this overran a little. I was shocked to receive a phone call asking when were we returning that we should've vacated.

On our return we found that our bags had been packed and outside, this would've been understandable except for the fact that a valuable ring was missing with a disgusting false nail in its place.

When I talked to the owners about this was practically told it was our own fault and that their staff were totally reliable, reliable theives more like!!

Rang the booking number a week or so later and got an automatic answer of the owner actually singing her message like an audition, needed this like a whole in the head!

After our experience leaving such a bitter taste would not recommend staying here to anyone!

Damien. You both stayed in my Guesthouse on the 12th & 13th of June LAST YEAR. I run my business to the very best of my ability- loving what I do and looking after guests - which I have done for the past 19 years. I have NEVER EVER been called a thief by anyone before. As I already suggested to you a long time ago - if you would like to report this THEFT of your VALUABLE ring to the Guards I am more than willing to Co-operate. It was myself that put a few items on top of your bags before removing them from the room in the afternoon. I stored your belongings in a safe place so that the cleaning lady could proceed with her job. It is clearly stated that Check Out is 11.30am. An extention to this time is considered on request but since you both had your breakfast at 7.30am and never got in touch with me about a LATE check out I had no choice but to contact you by phone for a explaination. I need time to clean and air the room for new guests which is standard procedure. If your ring is lost/mislaid/stoled you have my sympathies BUT please DO NOT TRY to destroy my good name by calling me a THIEF. How dare you.

Stayed here on a work trip at the start of June. Rooms immaculate and very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and had good tips on places to go for a quiet pint in Castlebar. Breakfast the next morning was excellent with the homemade apple and rhubarb jam a real find. They even gave me a jar to take home after I complimented them on it.

Really nice stay and will definitely be back next time I need to be in Castlebar.

I stayed here on my own for a couple of nights whilst visiting family in the town.
I was made to feel very welcome and wasn't penalised price wise for being a solo traveller, which is a welcome change.
My room was very nicely furnished, wonderfully clean and the bed lovely and comfy.
Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, very tasty and cooked on request.
It was quite busy at breakfast time so on one morning I had to share a table. If I had any criticism it would be to perhaps replace a couple of the four seater tables for some two people settings, this is only my personal opinion.
Overall, a lovely place to stay, extremely reasonably priced and very welcoming.
I'm sure I will be back very soon.

We stayed at Kenny's Guesthouse for one night in August. The Kenny family were very friendly and helpful. I asked Susanne where I would go to spend a hour or two to walk and take photos and she gave me directions to the park. What a lovely way to spend an evening .... I had a walk, took photos and then was lucky enough to "Gate-crash" a festival. What luck, it sure made my day.
Our room was beautiful, very clean, tastefully decorated, with tea making facilities and even a jar of biscuits everything we needed for our break.
