The breaffy hotel is amazing - super management and staff - great customer care and beautiful surroundings - really nice leisure centre - @pure results fitness retreat - highly recommend for fitness, leisure and fun 😁👍
Stayed here for a wedding anniversary. It included spa treatments and dinner in the restaurant. Although the hotel is nice it was let down by some tatty decor. In the room in particular which was a suite there were broken switches and fire detector hanging loose. Lots of patch up work on walls which was poorly done. Normally this wouldn't bother me but I was just expecting a bit more from such a renowned hotel. The Spa experience was nice, and the staff were friendly. We felt the restaurant service could of been better. The main customers in the restaurant were a tour bus from America and a few couples dotted around. After we sat at our table we asked about ordering a drink and were told we would have to wait for the sommelier to come around to us even though we both knew what we wanted and I don't even drink wine. So I was 15 minutes waiting to order a beer over this. My wife was having wine and just wanted a glass of Merlot didn't need anyone to help her choose it. Personally I found all that unnecessary and pretentious. Our meals were nice, fairly standard and I was probably expecting a little more considering the class of venue we were in. After our dinner we asked about having a look at the cocktail menu, and were told we would have to wait for the mixologist to come to our table and talk to us about the cocktails.. when he finally arrived he listed off about 4 cocktails which we could get again unnecessary and pretentious, a simple cocktail meni would of been sufficient. Breakfast in the morning was decent, grounds were lovely to walk around and the staff were all quiet pleasant and helpful during our stay but I couldn't help feeling a bit underwhelmed by the whole experience, especially compared to other stays in venues of similar standard.…
The food in Healy Mac’s leaves a lot to be desired. Expect to be disappointed. In fact, don’t go to Healy Mac’s unless you’re happy to have the most bland but still overpriced food served to you. Waited over 30 minutes for a cocktail that was clearly not made fresh but from a bag. AVOID THE CARBONARA, IT HAS ZERO TASTE!! The cleaners were so friendly, but expect to be woken up by slamming doors etc from 7AM onward. No air con, so expect to hear screaming kids on the mini golf from 9AM. Breakfast is good, not great. Not worth the money by any stretch. However, the pool is amazing and so are staff. It’s a 4 star… expect a 3 star experience for a 5 star price, in a hotel that really should be 3 stars.
My Husband and I decided on staying at the Breaffy House Resort for 4 nights after our wedding. Such a good decision the hotel and grounds are fab just what we wanted. We stayed in the signature room, so spacious and the bed was a dream. The breakfast was great, they had everything you wanted and needed. We also dined in the restaurant for dinner a night the food was fab, we also had lunch and dinner in the Healeys bar and everything went down a treat, the staff are all great but a lady called Mairead really made our stay, she went the extra mile every day for us and made us feel special on our mini moon she is a credit to the hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing break with good food and comfort this is your place
I do not have any negative comments about Breaffy House. It is a little far from town so no walking into town. Our room was spacious and has everything you need. The pool area looked amazing. So sorry I did not bring my suit. Breakfast was very good. We are a senior couple and we do a lot of traveling in Europe and the UK.have stayed at many hotels, this was among our best! It is a very busy hotel.
Room was spacious, clean and well serviced, Very limited shelf space in bathroom to leave anything. There was a smell of stale water in the bathroom but staff dealt with it efficentely. Furniture was good overall but bed needed to be replaced.
Over from England and staying at this lovely hotel again, I love it here. My sister treated me to the spa for my birthday and we had lovely treatments and we were well looked after. Tamika was so lovely and gave me an amazing facial and massage, Stephanie did my sisters treatments and was also so lovely. The manager Shauna took great care of us and made my birthday so special. It was lovely to have been part of their 1st anniversary of the blossom room today where we had a lovely pedicure today and make up done. This place really is lovely. Maireard in Healeys bar is so great, makes you feel really welcome and works very hard.
Have to say had a wonderful experience in the breaffy spa for my sister birthday , we arrived for our stay and I booked treatments for her so she could feel special .Shauna the manager was lovely to deal with and made us so welcome, our 2 ladies , Stephanie and tamika were fantastic at there job , made us feel so spolied and they are a credit to you, truly amazing at there work .As we finished Shauna said that they were having a year anniversary and invited us down to continue our lovely time and we had pedicures and make up done .She is excellent at her job friendly and nothing is to much trouble , highly recommend, thank you ladies for making our stay so special 🥰
I called into Healey macs just for bite to eat and lovely woman named Mairead went beyond what was expected of her and I had a fantastic lunch. I would highly recommend for anyone to come and visit this fine establishment.
