Visited this hotel for a midweek break and to have food in the restaurant that I heard so much about really looking forward to it only to be told on arrival that restaurant was closed then told me it was ten euros to park my car over night Went to the bar for drinks only to be told there was no bummers no Guinness .Sarah who saved the day Is an excellent lady on a brighter note food was great Room was good bed very comfortable
Could not fault the D hotel in terms of location ,cleanliness, friendly staff and lovely food, however, when we went to breakfast my 2 year old son left his iPad in the room until we came back. After cleaning up the room and gathering our belongings we discovered that his Amazon fire kids tablet was nowhere to be seen, despite the fact he left it on the chair in the room. Also, the charger for the tablet and my iPhone charger were also gone. I rang the reception a few times the next day looking for it and the receptionist was very helpful and apologetic, as they had checked everywhere it could have been and it did not show up. It was definitely in the room when we went for breakfast which I find extremely disappointing after such a lovely stay in the hotel up until that incident.…
My friends and I enjoyed afternoon tea in the D Hotel this afternoon to celebrate a recent wedding. The food and service, led by Louise, was first class. Highly recommended. We received take-away boxes to bring home the remaining food.
After along days work the last thing you want is to be fired in above the dance floor at a wedding. When the music finally ended at the wedding the noise continued along the hallway until 4am. To be asked for €10 for parking was the final straw. Never again
Had the misfortune to book a 2 night stay here as I was on business ...while the bed was comfortable tge room was stifling hot, the TV is like something from the 70s with very limited channel choice, bathroom shower pressure is poor and don't even think of asking housekeeping to service your room as they just decide not too even though you put make up my room on your door! Why have hotels in ireland decided they don't need to service rooms anymore??? The hops bar was dire serviceon Tuesday night with team members o duty who were more interested in speaking to their friends however on Wednesday the team working were fab so credit to them! My advice is book somewhere else
We had our daughters communion at the DHotel Drogheda and stayed overnight in May 2022, our whole event was a pleasure to be part of from start to finish as we had a great sales and events manager Serena Macari who organized everything exactly the way we wanted. The room was great, food was amazing and the whole staff on the day were great, from the bar staff, chefs and night staff. My daughter had a fantastic day and I would just like to thank Serena and the team at the DHotel for all there help in making our day so special.
My family booked two rooms for an overnight stay. As we arrived, I noticed preparations for an evening event. On check in, I asked for rooms that would not be affected by noise; I was assured this would not be an issue. In fact the noise was horrendous and none of us was able to sleep until the small hours. On check out, I was promised a call from the hotel at the start of the following week to respond to my complaint. No call so I chased the following day and was put on to an obnoxious passive-aggressive ‘complaint manager’. No apology, just a statement that I should have realised it was going to be noisy from the website literature. To anyone reading this, proceed with caution.
stayed here one night passing through. easy enough to find by sat nav, looks ok from front but strange reception with vending machines just about sums it up - its cheap £76) for a reason room was very caught in a time warp and whilst clean it was not very welcoming bar downstairs was fine, but dont leave your drink unattended to go to loo or they will clear it off the table
Requested an iron in advance, seems it was too much trouble. Dirty floor, holes in stained curtains, grimy glass screen, handle of tap came off in my hand first time I tried to use it, all chrome surfaces scratched. Shoddiest 'bridal suite' I've ever seen. Not even a fridge for expensive minibar items, despite sauna-like heat in room. Despite being told it was €10 flat rate parking charge on top of €350 I paid for room and only being there 12hrs, I was charged over €12, which was the icing on the cake. Couldn't wait to leave.
The hotel was nice. The hotel staff were very rude and not a smile kn their face when you said hello they would ignore you the customer service s very bad. Also had to walk up the town to ut money on my card because they don't take cash. I wouldn't stay here againbecause staff are miserable looking. Update your staff because you are going to lose customers. Or even tell then smile .
