The B&B is a bit off the beaten track on a hill, but this is not bad at all, you are still quickly in the city, the train station takes a little longer. The rooms are large and cozy, just like the bathroom. Breakfast is normal, standard stop. But the thing that bothers me is, it's kind of scruffy and only superficially clean, the dining table was certainly only wiped quickly with a wet rag, the plates are not properly clean, the boxes with the cereals very worn off. That's what it looks like in the bathroom. Like I said, everything just superficially clean. Too bad the B&B otherwise is great.

Peter had very good advice on local sights and restaurants. Breakfast was VERY tasty (loved the fresh berries!). I was initially taken aback by the lower end/older look of the furnishings, but the quality and quantity of the breakfast offerings really made up for that. Bed was very comfortable and the street was quiet. Everything is very clean, and they even freshened the room while we were out driving around.

My husband & I stayed here for 1 night in July 2019. Peter was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and spacious and the bathroom a good size as well. Breakfast was great and presented well, and the little dining room nice. We enjoyed our stay here and Peter was happy to give us advice about the area etc.
On site car parking too.
We would stay here again.

We were greeted warmly and given suggestions for places to eat. Convenient to the motorway and to the center of town. On-site parking and good wifi a plus. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed meeting our hosts.

My husband and I recently spent 10 days in Ireland and while we were there we stayed here at Aaron Vale. We stayed one night. I'm not sure where to begin. We walked in the room and it looked like the floor hadn't been vacuumed in a while. We were walking on 'stuff'. I have no idea what it was. There was hair on the sheets. There was hair on the bathroom floor, on the back of the toilet. It was as if nothing had been cleaned. We were so tired from traveling all day that we stayed figuring there was no place else to go that late in the evening. We got up early, early the next morning just so we could get out of there.
We were met at the front door in a very unwelcome manner. It was just like 'Let me show you to your room.' No, 'Hi. How are you?'...nothing. That's quite unprofessional when you're running a business.

The establishment is situated on the outskirts of Drogeheda, about 5-10 mins walk from the centre of town. This allows the place to feel very quiet yet still close to local amenities. The location was easy to find, with a sign from a main road and up a moderate gradient. The host was very welcoming and showed me to my room upon arrival. The double room was suitably spacious with a small ensuite shower room. The decor was simple and tasteful, with plenty of surfaces for placing down belongings. The breakfast of juice, berries, fry up, toast and tea was tasty and a satisfying start to the day. Overall, the B&B provided exactly what I was looking for for a night in Drogeheda. A quiet location with friendly decorate surface and a good breakfast. This represented very good value and i would recommend staying if visiting the town.

This was a lovely little place, immaculate room and en-suite, had a great nights sleep as beds were so comfy. However, it was very hilly in Drogheda and as I struggle to walk my feet swelled up so much that I had to cancel our 2nd nights stay there. Had it have been a flat walk then I would have stayed. The breakfast was lovely, cooked to order and nicely presented.Peter and Mary were so lovely and understanding and charged us a fraction of the cost of the 2nd night which was very generous. They also gave us a way of seeing Newgrange from a little lane without having to go around it as I couldnt have done that, my husband was delighted and got a few photos of the place. And Peter, although we found Scarlett St, number 101 didnt exist anymore which was disappointing.!! Many thanks.x

Quite good, clean, breakfast was good. Especially the location was great, near airport and Newgrange, excellent place if heading north after late flight. Reasonable price. The village was quiet and hard to find food late at night 9pm.
