Went here for a meal with my cousin, great healthy salads which I love. Staff very helpful and good knowledge of what's in the salads on the menu so if you don't like something you can ask to have it left out. If your looking for a nice meal in nice a friendly environment don't pass here.

This visit was my most recent of many. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals allow The Salthouse to prove its worth as a quality bistro. Locally sourced produce is served in both traditional fare and dishes given a novel makeover or married with sauces or methods not tried before. A wide range of beers & wines make this a perfect venue for both an intimate dinner or a large party looking for something a little different. Highly recommended.

The women in the tourist information of Drogheda recommended the Salthouse B&B to us, but our stay was really disappointing. When we arrived we met a young lady, who was on the go. She showed us quickly the bedroom, cashed up the money, gave us the key and disappeared. The room was battered. In the night we couldn't sleep, because the room smelt of cigarettes and we couldn't open the window, because the traffic on the main road was very loud. There was no wardrobe only a clothes rail in the bedroom and the bedside lamp was broken. The bathroom was really old and dirty as well as the bedroom and especially the carpet. There was no stuff in the B&B till breakfast-time next morning. So we couldn't complain. The breakfast room was suprisingly clean, nice furnished, really modern, with a view over the river. The stuff was friendly and we got a really nice breakfast. We chose freshly made pancake with maple syrup and banana and porridge. It was difficult to find a parking spot, because they are rare and you have to pay even for a short time.

Small and simple rooms, but clean and nice. Good location and great breakfast. Bathrooms recently renovated. Other people from my travelling company had also good rooms. My room was on the third floor and I didin't hear any noices.
