Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beautiful place to stay for a few days. The hotel is spotlessly clean, all the facilities you could need, iron, hairdryer, WiFi, hospitality tray. Comfortable beds, black out curtains. It's in a central location along what I assume is a High Street where you have everything you need on your doorstep. We had an evening meal in Nelly's bar downstairs which was scrumptious and great value. The bathroom for the bar really has the wow factor, even if you don't need to pay a visit go anyway!! The hotel wasn't serving breakfast during our stay but there is a lovely cafe just opposite and the most exquisite bakery. Drogheda is a beautiful place and this hotel and it's lovely staff made our stay an excellent one. I really hope I can return one day soon.

This hotel has recently been refurbished. The rooms were roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The reception area was lovely, Sean was very friendly. 10 od us ate in the bar and had a fantastic meal at a good price. The bar area had a really good atmosphere with lots of friendly staff. There was an extra room for weddings or parties where breakfast was served. Altogether a lovely hotel, our party of 6 had 3 rooms and we would all definitely recommend.

The Marcy staff went well out of their way to accommodate ourselves and our touring bikes. The rooms themselves were well above average with very comfortable beds and spacious. The hotel decor is luxurious but not stuffy. I highly recommend the Marcy.

The hotel is lovely and bar food was fab, beds were comfortable but double bed very small for a hotel!

Got a call prior to my stay to say it would be €150 per room deposit, that was fine but during the call I asked about children in the bar after 9, I was told this is fine as we are residents. We where in the bar from 7 that evening and at nearly 10.30 a woman came and told us the child we had with us had to go, she had been sitting there all night playing at the table not a bother on her, I explained how on the phone I was told she would be allowed in the bar because we are residents and every other hotel we stay in never has a problem. This bothered us as there was clearly no communication between the staff and we wouldn’t have booked a hotel that we couldn’t keep the children with us if that was the case. We went to the lobby at 11.30 as she wanted to stay up to ring in the new year and felt we were being watched constantly when she was dancing to the music ect… she is a really good little girl with hardly any minding to her so she wasn’t even causing trouble! We booked a twin room, double room and a family room. We paid more for the family room even though it was the exact
Same as the other two rooms we got. The breakfast room was freezing and the breakfast was a complete joke. The toast was like a brick and cold, we wherent asked if we’d like white or brown we where just given one slice of hard brown toast which I couldn’t eat or I’d have broke a tooth, I raised this concern and was brought out more toast the exact same way, the rashers where smoked which is really unusual for a hotel so I couldn’t eat them either as I cannot eat smoked goods, the end of the eggs where burnt and so was the pancakes as well as being cold! The tea and coffee also freezing, I’m not sure if it’s because of the aircon on full or what but it was a real let down. It’s definitely not a family friendly hotel so wouldn’t bring kids. The walls in the bedrooms are really thin too which means you can hear other couples in their rooms and whatever they are up to.

A lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms that are really clean. Comfy beds and lovely staff especially Linda and the owner Sabrina. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is right in the center so you're near to all the shops, bars and night life. We'll definitely be back

Brilliant stay at this hotel with family. My Dad has mobility issues and despite having no lifts they were more than helpful in making our stay wonderful. Such kind and courteous staff-a real credit! We ate in the bar and it was really good. Great location and staff really make it! Thanks

Not only is this a lovely hotel but the staff are amazing. I became very ill on my first solo trip and Linda took such good care of me, I couldn’t be more grateful. She helped me with the doctor, let me extend my stay and even got me out of a cancellation fee for another hotel.

When we booked to stay it felt like a gamble as there wasn’t many reviews however we really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was spacious and again spotless.
We had drinks and food in Nellys downstairs which was excellent. Staff were all really friendly.
We really loved the feel of the place and it was decorated to a high standard. We would definitely recommend to friends or stay here again ourselves.
