Had a lovely two night break here with my daughter. We didn’t want to travel too far to spend some time together so we chose the capital of our county. Friendly staff who very always very helpful to us. Right in the centre of Limerick so great for visiting local attractions like King John's Castle, Treaty Stone and Curragower Falls to name a few of the places we visited which we hadn’t visited before. The brilliant Limerick Milk Market was a stones throw from the hotel and well worth a visit or two! Our room was lovely and bright and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was of a high standard and tasty. All COVID precautions were taken and we felt very safe. All in all, a really great stay.
My husband and I stayed here last year while we were visiting family in the area. The receptionist that greeted us was friendly and accommodated us wonderfully the whole time we were there. From the barman to the restaurant staff each person we encountered was sincerely lovely and a true asset to the hotel. The restaurant was spotless and very cosy with a well priced menu. They had a great selection to choose from with something for everyone. The breakfast the following morning was simple but delicious and of very good quality. Our bedroom was spacious and again exceptionally clean! We both slept peacefully throughout the night. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would happily stay there again.
This hotel is right in the center, easy to get to the bus/train, plenty of restaurants and bars around. The staff were very friendly. The rooms are clean and modern. The pillows are very big which was uncomfortable for me but I just used the small decorative pillow instead. However, the price for being in the center is that there is some music and crowd noise coming in from the street. It wasn't too bad but I was there during the week, not on the weekend. Might be a problem then if you expect a quiet, early night. Breakfast was delicious.
Cancelled my booking several days in advance. I got a phone call from the receptionist who told me it was cancelled (I know) but she couldn't see a confirmation so unless I got booking.com to contact her to confirm I would be charged!!! The oddest and least professional contact ever with a hotel.
My brother and I had to travel to Ireland at short notice due to our Uncles death.. My brother had stayed here before last year so felt confident in booking a twin room. Our experience from arrival was extremeley disappointing. Do not believe the photos!!! Those are what COULD BE NOT WHAT ARE!! Our room was right below the work men who began drilling & hammering at 7.30am Thursday morning and 6.30am Friday morning after being at a funeral all day Thursday. .We did complain but were laughed at by the staff. We should have been given the option of staying due to the works or given a reduced rate. Check and double check before booking loads of work going on......
Horrendous. Didn’t sleep for a minute, Local nightclub blaring music until 3, students shouting until 5, building site next door began work at 7. Could really do with soundproofing. Window quality extremely poor. Breakfast was ok. Didn’t bother arguing about the situation, just wanted to get out of there.
Stayed here for two nights and it was awful, renovations going on but we were informed about that when booking, place was like a building site. Work was meant to start at 9 but we were woken the first morning at 7.40. Breakfast was absolutely awful raw toast the smell from the bacon was disgusting. Chipped plate, dirty cutlery. I didn't go down the 2nd morning. My daughter did and she had to wait 20 minutes for a cold cup of coffee. Ended up buying some in a local Centra. Complained to the manager her manner and attitude left a lot to be desired. She had an awful attitude. After a lot of arguing we got a refund a night. Too many hotels in Limerick so would rather pay extra
Well used shabby city centre hotel. The bathroom is tiny with an even tinier shower cubicle. Live music on until 2-00am. It felt like I was sleeping on the main stage at Glastonbury. Being forced to hear the music I have the following comments to make; the drum kit was not tuned, the drummer could not keep time, the singer was well at the top of his range and the bass player played like he had some missing fingers. Not a good nights sleep. On the up side breakfast was very good.
The best thing about this hotel is the convenient location - right on the edge of the market quarter & easy walking distance to bars, cafes & shops. There is also cheap covered car parking a few minutes away. However, it would really benefit from a thorough deep clean as the room felt grubby & tired. Also, the shower cubicle was ridiculously tiny & almost impossible to use effectively. Could be a really cool hotel if it got the basics right.
We booked a 4 bed room we and found it very good, the property is in a great location it's close to everything, very friendly staff and breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend this property. We have booked again for december after our last experience.
