I arrived late to Clifton House after a long day of driving and work, and was longing for a shower and bed. When I arrived it was dark and there was a gang of teens in the garden being rowdy, which made me nervous to get out of my car to go up to the house and to leave it...

stayed our last night in Ireland at the Clifton House because we had stayed there on our last visit 20 years ago. We were greeted very warmly by Michael and his wife but the place needed a major facelift. The rooms were filthy, smelled heavily of smoke and had a horrible musty smell. It was to late for us to...

We were made very welcome by Michael and offered coffee etc. Lovely big house, although in need of some modernisation as room and bathroom very dated. Perfectly adequate though for our one night stay. Breakfast was fine and Michael and Jake (the dog) good hosts.

I stayed in this B&B last year while in Limerick for work last year. The work wasfinished late at night and the last breakfast the next day was at 9.30am. I asked if I could have it a little later as I had the whole next day with nothing to do before work the next evening and was very tired....

I cannot fault Michael and his wife- they were very welcoming and did all to help us enjoy our stay. The location of B&B is good, just 5 mins fdrive rom town centre and there's ample parking. It is an established B&B, at least 30 years old and it shows. The room, though spotless looked tired and dull. Probably due...

We arrived at the Clifton House at the end of a very long day -- we had suffered a flat tire on the way from Galway, and though the gas station attendents couldn't have been nicer while helping us fix it, we still didn't reach Limerick until nearly 9 p.m. Thankfully, the owners of the B&B were extremely understanding: initially,...

Clifton House is conveniently located on the main road between Shannon Airport and Limerick with reasonably priced bus service nearby. It's a comfortable walk into the city center and in the other direction there are mini-markets, takeaways, and other shopping, too. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great breakfast. Nice comfortable room.

Just got back from a family visit to Limerick,Ireland where we stayed at our favorite B&B,Clifton House. Proprietors Michael and Mary Powell accorded us the usual warm welcome that we've come to appreciate after several visits there. Highly recommended. Steve and Christeen Kelly Victoria,BC

We had an enjoyable night's stay at the Clifton House. The only reason I give it an "above average" rather than an "excellent" is because we stayed in a couple of very stellar B&Bs on our trip, and the Clifton was just barely not as great as some others. But it was clean, comfortable, and a good price. I'm not...

I went to Clifton House to see my bf who is working there at the moment, and returned today... MIcheal and Mary were fantastic and made my stay very welcoming, to the point I didn't want to go. The rooms are clean and comfy, and the beds got made every morning of my stay. Due to my BF being in...

“I am sure that some of the rooms will be brighter than the one my husband and I had and no worries about noise and plenty of free parking.”
