Detailed Reviews
Last Sunday we visited the Woodfield before attending a match at the nearby Garlic grounds. Ample parking around the hotel. It was very busy but we were attended too straight away by a lovely waitress. They offered a set lunch menu and al la carte menu. We opted for the toasted special and soup. All around us people were being served by the efficient staff and all plates were empty. Our food was good and decent portions and well presented. We were also asked if everything was ok a few minutes after we got our food. Which we might not have expected considering how busy it was. Basic food done well and served by efficient friendly stafff. We will be back.

Had lunch with to catch up with friends , hadn't been out to a restaurant or hotel in over a year so was a bit unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the Woodfield, the staff were friendly and organised , the outdoor dining area was clean and fairly comfortable and most importantly the food was tasty and good value with a good selection on the menu and daily specials.
I have to say well done for keeping prices reasonable , as since my visit I noticed other hotels and restaurants in Limerick have ridiculous prices.
I hope to be back soon.

I haven't stayed at the hotel as such but I've gone here a few times for an evening meal and would highly recommend it.
The introduction of the outdoor seating area has made it much easier to get a table, while the service is very pleasant and efficient and the value is excellent considering what you get and how much you pay. Their chicken tenders are an absolute winner, I always go for these when I'm here.
The only cautionary note is that car parking can be tight, especially if somebody is coming against you when entering/leaving, but that pales into insignificance given how enjoyable the dining experience is.

We unfortunately only found this hotel on our last evening in Limerick. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The cheesecake was the nicest we’ve ever tasted! The kids menu was very basic, but they could get half portions of the specials that were on.

This hotel was beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was nice to have a "commute" home after our busy day in the city to relax and unwind. Our group of 11 university students loved the soft beds, the historic charm, and the on-site bar and outdoor area. Lianne and her team were very helpful in directing us to the hotel from the train station, and even accommodated our large group's lunch immediately when we walked in. We expected we'd have to store our luggage for a few hours as we arrived early, but the team got our rooms together early so we could settle in before exploring Limerick. Do expect a 20 minute walk to anything you want to do in the city, but this little gem is still worth it - we loved our stay!

Rang this morning to book a table for 6 people for a casual Sunday dinner, was told on the phone they don't take bookings and it was walk in only. That's no problem.
Upon arrival there were a few empty tables with a RESERVED sign on them, my father asked the waitress why we couldn't book a table she answered simply with a shrug and walked away.
Earlier this week my elderly aunt tried to make a booking, again told walk in only. Upon arrival again there were empty "reserved" tables, the only ones available,so she sat at one with her friend and was asked by staff to leave the table as it was reserved??!
There seems to be one rule for some and another rule for VIPs as they clearly can't explain to us why tables end up reserved while also saying they don't take bookings?!? The waitresses response to my father was rude, unprofessional and unacceptable. Wont be back.

I booked directly with the hotel as I thought I’d get a better deal, a mistake! The price for one night has increased dramatically since covid but nothing has changed internally to justify the hike. There are a number of hotels in the area that are slightly more expensive but worth the extra.
The room was very small and stuffy with poor quality duvet which was excessively heavy which made sleep difficult. Shower was dodgy.
I know they have some newer rooms, the hotel was virtually empty so struggled to understand why they put us in such a poor one.
Thankfully we didn’t order breakfast as it would have made me angrier to give them more money.
I’ve eaten once in the restaurant, not impressed so gave that a miss for dinner.

Food is smashing, Jason on the door handles the ques extremely well and ensures social distancing is maintained. A great outdoor area to eat in and relax when the sun is out
Highly recommend. Only 7 minutes walk from the city centre

Stayed here whilst we were in town for the Lacrosse U21 World Championships, staff were very friendly and professional. Rooms we clean and pleasant and the Irish breakfast was top notch!
Location is perfect for exploring the city as its only a 15 minute walk to the centre. Would definitely stay here again if we travel back to Limerick in the future!
