The room I stayed in ( 115) as I recall was clean and well maintained, but it was directly over the source of entertainment a live band there was no way I was getting any sleep before 1am could have done without the noise. The breakfast room can get busy so we went in as early as we could about 8.30am breakfast generally was good plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Thus is a good hotel with amazing staff and very clean accommodation. Breakfast is super. The central location is ideal for exploring the city. Major drawback is live music Friday and Saturday nights. If you are on the front of the hotel you will not get to sleep its so loud. At the back with ear plugs is fine.
Hot water takes ages to come through to the rooms which are a bit small for the large super comfortable bed.
We enjoyed our stay, the staff are great.

Stayed in this quirky hotel, deceiving from the outside. Rooms were small but everything you needed, and clean! Staff were friendly! and location is excellent. We were advised pre visit about the noise as to its location by the hotel but if im honest, other visitors slamming doors was probably noisier! Lol! Will definitely be back!

Being located so close to the Milk Market and the City Centre is ideal in such a walkable city as Limerick. Our room was located on top of the church car park next door, and having checked in on a Sunday late afternoon we were amused to hear a full Polish mass being broadcast over the loudspeakers (at a very reasonable noise level, and it didn't bother us at all). The place is newly refurbished and it shows, it is all 'newly made' clean. There are small humouristic hints here and there (fake shoe marks and handprints on fire doors in the corridors, etc.) and the corridors themselves seemed eerily quiet: for a while we thought we were the only guests that night. Our room was bright, spacious, modern and very comfortable. We slept very well.
Breakfast in the diner-style room was standard but decent and copious.
The only negative point was the car park discount ticket that did not work at all, where we had left our car overnight. The difference between full price and discount was not enourmous, but we felt a bit let down by this.
However it was overall a very positive experience at a reasonable rate.

We're pleasantly surprised on arrival at close proximity of car park and very central location. Room was compact but seemed clean. Had to have windows open at night as room extremely hot and at midnight there was noise fight outside the window from crane working on hotel roof. Two operators were shouting and swearing and revving the engine. Rang reception but no action taken. After more than half hour, and with the room filling with choking fumes, I had to get up, get dressed and go down to reception to get some action. In the morning my children and I were sent out in the rain to the pub next door for breakfast. There was staff members smoking right in the doorway and the music was so loud we could not hear each other. When the food arrived it was not as ordered and overcooked. My eggs hollandaise had to be sent back 3 times - rubber eggs, no avocado, soaking wet toast, stone cold sauce. I had to seek out the manager before cjeck out to complain and her response was that she could not change the past, that the noise was nothing to do with them and that she could maybe offer a discount on our next stay if I asked for her when I rang to book it!!!!!! To cap it all the car park rate that should have been discounted wasn't. Such a shame. Could be a little gem with a little more attention to meeting customer expectations and needs. Our only family trip this year was totally spoiled by the whole fiasco.

Hi, So sorry your experience at the Old Quarter Townhouse was not great. We try to accommodate our guests as much as we can. The noise was from a business further down the street. We have no idea why they thought to do the work so late, but our night porter did threaten to call the police if they didn't stop. Sorry for the inconvenience but since they weren't our workers, we could only do so much. As for going to the Bar next door, since we have been impacted with Covid-19 and low guest numbers for this time of year, we have to send guests next door for breakfast. Most guests haven't had any issues. The rain was unfortunate but it is a 2 second walk next door. Our covered outside area is our smoking area. Once people arent smoking inside the building its perfectly legal. We apologize for the food. Our standards are higher and many people stop in for breakfast daily. We offered a discount for your next stay as our hands are tied once things happen. We can only do so much, we are a small locally owned business. We do have a discount with the car park and it should have come off your ticket if you visited the hut inside the car park to get the attendant to apply the discount. Apologies that your family trip this year was spoiled but don't make it just once this year, we would be happy to have you again!

The Location was central with many multi story car parks nearby, however, Cruise car park is next door, real handy. The entrance to the establishment is a bit drab at the start of an alley onto a main street with the bar/restaurant area located next door with outside seating/tables. The room was very cramp with 2 single beds, and limited furniture with a view of the Multi story car park 20 meters away. When booking this Hotel please be aware of all the warnings given as it is pretty noisy in the evening, especially if you are located above the bar and outdoor seating area. Breakfast was obviously first come first served (due to limited space in Breakfast Room), as we were in a group of around 12 we were taken to the bar, where we had our Breakfast. Second morning, again no room so told to go to our room and Reception will call when table available. Food was OK, but toast, butter all shoved on the main plate, no side plates available and service could have been better. For the price, would have expected a lot better.

I recently stayed in this lovely hotel for one night mid week with a friend.

We booked a twin room. The room was spacious and bright. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, our bathroom was small but spotless. The shower was a little less powerful than what I would have liked but that’s just personal preference.

We loved the location of this hotel, although this hotel does not have its own car park the car park next door do give a discount to hotel guests (once you get your ticket validated in the hotel).

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This room is basic and cold, with just a small electric heater in the bedroom. The reception staff were so miserable when we arrived and barely lifted their head to check us in or anytime we walked in and out. For the price and location, it is completely overpriced and is on par with a travel lodge

Booked for 2 nights with a baby, requested a travel cot which was provided. We were put on the 2nd floor. Lift only goes to the first floor so we had to carry the buggy up and down the stairs whenever we came and left the place. No forward thinking from whoever gave us that room. No air con in the room. Denied access to the "hotel bar" which we were told by hotel staff and the bar staff that they had nothing to do with each other. It's a grand place to drop the bags and go around the city. Mostly younger people staying there for the night life. No attraction to spending time in the hotel.

Family of 4, we stayed in one of the family rooms. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. The decor is lovely. We had dinner in the bar and the staff were super friendly. It has a lovely open part of the restaurant with outside heaters in November and we felt very safe. Breakfast was amazing. Our kids loved the hot chocolate and Nutella croissants. The staff at dinner and breakfast was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location in Limerick City is very central. We will definitely be back!
