I thought I'd take the gamble and book a night here based on the assumption that it has what they describe as a river view. What a joke. My view was of the side road and if you bend you neck hard enough you can see a bit if the river. The rooms are pretty awful. The shower is stinking and I was almost afraid to turn the dial to turn it on with the blackness in the crevices. The door doesn't close properly and water goes everywhere. The seat in my room was disgusting, ever here if cleaning it properly with a brush and soap. There is no sound proofing and I can here the guy next door taking a piddle like hes in my room. The room furniture is really bad and you don't even get a basic bedside table. I mean come on. Honestly I could get so much better for the sake of an extra tenner. Wouldn't recommend or be back.…
Granted we paid a cheap price for our double room but still I don’t think the experience should have been as awful as it was... online it boasts restaurant and bar on site as well as free parking but fails to mention its all closed and there is no parking! the room was as basic as you can get, they seriously need updating especially the bathrooms... the only view was of other rooms where you can hear all sorts of noises, people drinking until all hours, the walls must be paper thin! The noise during our stay was so bad that we were awake all night and finally at 6am we decided we needed to get out of the place and drive straight home... staff were very polite but we just couldn’t wait to leave!!
Cheap hotel cheerful hotel price reflects conditions of rooms don’t expect anything fancy for the money you pay, upsides cheap and good location friendly staff downside outdated rooms, no car parking and no restaurant being open
We decided to go for a cheap and cheerful hotel in limerick ... well... it’s cheap .. Very strong smell of smoke coming from one of the near by rooms earlier and plenty of noise coming from it now . Someone got there before me to complain to front desk as I heard the night porter call to them. The walls must be paper thin ! Closed the window as I can hear music and voices from another room across the yard ! No car park! The bar and food isn’t opened yet due to Covid -19 so very different feels for a night away .. Would I come back ? No .. I’d spent the extra money to get the cheerfulness next time . As the going says .. you get what you pay for !!!!! However , to end on a positive note ... the location is near the shops and restaurants etc !
I felt lucky I was on my own as the room space was tiny. The bathroom wasn’t the greatest in terms of lighting, the shower head I couldn’t reach, no mixer tap... The TV is tiny for where it’s positioned, you can access the wardrobe if someone is sat on the desk... anyway, not the most modern place, but suitable for one night in your own. Breakfast was really standard. Oh and I don’t think I would return as there was no parking available.
