We are just back from the most wonderful one night experience in this hotel which is a gem right in the city of Limerick.
We were greeted with a warm smile , as we were a little early they took our bags and we went off to do some shopping. When we returned we were shown to our room by Ruth and our bags were there. and what a lovely surprise, beautiful decor in the room, there was a waterfall shower and lovely soft towels with all soaps and cream. Drinking water also available, and a little card with your name on it to welcome us to the hotel, what a lovely touch. She suggested we go visit the basement where The Parlor was, here you can avail of Tea Coffee Wine Fruit and soft drinks, in a very relaxing room. there is also a Roof top garden but weather was not on our side for that visit.!!!! The bed was very conformable and all rooms face the front of the building. Breakfast the next morning was really lovely and good choice. A special thanks to Jenny who I was in contact with to make the booking and to Ruth and all the wonderful staff at The Bedford. Really a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it. We will be back.
Thank you all again

What an incredible place. Honestly the Bedford is by far one of the most fabulous places I have stayed in a long time! We stayed in the clock room as part of the elegant package!

The check in experience was flawless and friendly, the hallways, lifts and communal areas are spotless and non the less the smell of their fragrance throughout the townhouse is amazing!

The room, it’s exactly why you see in pictures on their website the bathroom is so bright, the rain shower is so fab!

The bed, the queen size bed is by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and pillows are divine.

I write this as we are just back from breakfast and the menu is fab! And food was delicious!!

If you are staying In Limerick add The Bedford to your list! We don’t want to leave.

The Bedford Townhouse is ideal for a few nights in the city centre of Limerick. It's central, accessible, and close to the tourist attractions and nightlife venues.

Better still, it's very modern, clean, and spacious with a real boutique feel. And that's probably important to point out: it really is more of a luxury townhouse than a traditional hotel, which is a welcome change.

The rooms are "next door" and completely separate to the check-in and café area. There's a small recreational room in the basement where you can get teas, coffees, and chocolates, and there's also a small gym.

Staff were very friendly and hospitable. As an added bonus, The Bedford Townhouse smelt absolutely wonderful. If aroma is your thing, then waste no time booking a room here.

We stayed here in November for my husbands birthday and if I could give it 6 stars I would.
We’ve done a lot of nights away as a couple and this was definitely my favourite. Check in at the travel agents next door was fast and they were super friendly. As others have said the beautiful smell as you walk in the front door sets the scene. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a superior room as it was my husbands birthday. The room was stunning and everything was top class. The attention to detail was obvious right down to the luxurious toilet paper! The lounge downstairs was lovely for a glass of wine before we got ready to go out for the evening. The staff booked The Cornmarket for us for my husbands birthday. It was the perfect restaurant for a celebration and they even gave him a special dessert and sang happy birthday. We never mentioned it was his birthday so again, attention to detail from the Bedford staff. Breakfast was a highlight. Super tasty, healthy and a bit different. No silly nonsense like having to pay extra for an extra cup of coffee. The girls in the cafe were brilliant and let me try the granola even though I hadn’t ordered it. They were so friendly, professional and are a credit to the place. All in all if you’re looking for a night away with your other half I highly recommend you try this. I’d also recommend the above restaurant for dinner. Congratulations to everyone involved in creating such a beautiful luxury escape.

This was our first time in Ireland, we traveled for three weeks staying at Hotels in Dublin, Galway and a B&B outside of Kilkenny and four days in Limerick at The Bedford Townhouse. We liked Limerick the best and out of the Hotels and Air B&B we liked The Bedford Townhouse the best. A smiling good natured Denice Brazil checked us in when we arrived, Denice explained everything about the Hotel to us along with informing us about the Hotels Cafe on the first floor where we had a delicious breakfast every morning along with a few tasty lunches. It only took a few minutes for Denice to check us in and a few minutes more to find our large beautiful room over looking the quiet pedestrian street below which was closed to auto traffic. On our first night at about 6pm we heard some soft violin music which we thought was coming from a radio but it turned out to be a man playing his violin just outside the front of our Hotel, he was so good that at the end of his 30 minutes of playing we figured he must have been a concert violinist. Everyone we met in our 4 days stay whether it was on the street, in our Hotel, in the local restaurants we ate at or to ask for directions were kind, decent, helpful people, we walked the scenic, litter free streets beside the Shannon River which was just a few blocks from our Hotel, toured King Johns Castle where a kind man we met there gave us a private tour, we also visited my distant ancestor Dominic Fannings Castle who was the Mayor of Limerick during the Siege of Limerick and was executed for refusing Oliver Cromwell's army permission to enter the city.
When I return to Ireland I will be contacting Denice and booking a room at The Bedford Townhouse it is a 5 Star Plus in my books.

This boutique townhouse is a serious addition to Limerick. We've stayed here twice over the past year. We traveled up for a Munster game in 2019 and stayed again for two nights over Valentine's weekend this year. It's smack bang in the middle of Limerick City so it's great for a night out and was a handy walk to Thomond Park.

The rooms are compact but very stylish and the staff are the nicest people you'll meet - very helpful. There's a communal room in the basement with a fully stocked fridge (including some wine!), coffee machine, Butlers' Chocolates and fruit that are all complimentary. We didn't do breakfast but had coffee and cakes in the Café downstairs and they were great. We're already planning another weekend once the coronavirus blows over.

Extremely clean and comfortable place to stay. The showers have great pressure and were revitalizing. The rooms are furnished in a way that will make you feel like you are getting VIP treatment.

Be sure to get breakfast at the cafe downstairs by the front desk. It wasn’t included in our stay but highly recommend. The avocado toast with a poached egg was delicious!

Great location in a thriving, busy part of the city with easy walking distance to many pubs and restaurants.

Definitely would stay here again!

My family and I lived this hotel. There is a parlor/sitting room in the basement with a fireplace and TV where you can enjoy complimentary wine, coffee, tea and chocolates. Breakfast is amazing- I had the croissant melt which was great. Another in my party had the waffles and bacon. Waffles were good but the bacon was bland (was it vegetarian bacon???). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There’s limited front desk hours (they leave by 7 or 730 pm) which seemed odd but in no way impacted our visit. Hotel is centrally located witch is a blessing and a curse as I woke up once or twice because of the lads’ drunken banter outside (it was a weekday). Though I did open my window which may have made it louder. Regardless it wasn’t a huge bother and I’d definitely return if I find myself in Limerick again.

Hi John, Thank you for staying with us here at The Bedford & taking the time to leave us a review. Our reception operates between 7am and 7pm and you can check-in with our friendly reception team who will provide you with a keycard to access your room. If guests arrives after 7pm or just want to head straight to your room, there is no problem. We can provide pin access or mobile access to the Townhouse with your own smartphone. We contact all guests in advance of their arrival to confirm if they need to avail of pin/mobile access. We are delighted you liked the parlour room - our favourite hideaway spot! Our breakfast is a wellness breakfast menu and is very popular. Sorry you thought the bacon was bland, it is not vegetarian. We are blessed with our location being city centre & we do apologise for any inconvenience caused by noise from the street. Bedford Row is a pedestrianised street and is usually relatively quiet but unfortunately there can occasionally be some noise. We would love to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, Ruth.

Stayed one night only as I was passing through. Incredibly central and were I to stay again I wouldn't have kept my rental car but just got the intercity bus from Kerry where I stayed before Limerick. The accommodation is right in the middle of a pedestrian area and close to bus stops. I found that very convenient. The room was beautifully appointed with a comfortable bed. Lovely large bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. I noticed later in the morning as I was getting ready to leave and enjoying a complimentary coffee while I I organised my belongings that the cafe staff were particularly helpful to a group of tourists who had difficulty explaining in English exactly what kind of coffee they wanted. When the customers received what they hadn't expected there were no quibbles and the staff cheerfully replaced the order accordingly. That sort of thing doesn't always happen and demonstrates the good service here.

Stayed here for one night on a quick trip to Limerick. The hotel is fantastic, is is very obvious the level of attention to detail that has been put into this hotel. Crisp linen bed linen was so comfortable. Triple glazed windows and blackout blinds to ensure a good night's sleep despite the convenient city Centre location. The list goes on, but suffice it to say that a lot of thought and effort has gone into making a stay here a pleasant and comfortable experience.

Customer service is excellent with every single staff member very friendly and helpful. From the moment you arrive, you are made feel welcome and at home. This is something that may appear simple, but is not always achieved. In my case, this was exemplified by how a request for assistance was handled. Late in the afternoon I received an urgent email from work that required a same day reply, but unfortunately my laptop had only the previously day packed in. When I asked reception to assist in finding an internet café where I could do some work, it was quickly evident that most were just about to close. I was being assisted by Denise, whom I have since found out is actually the co-founder and general Manager. Denise very kindly set me up with her own laptop & printer with which to complete my work. Saved the day for me, so thanks to her, and a a shout out for leading from the front in how to provide excellent customer service

Had breakfast to in the café in the morning and it did not disappoint. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Bedford Townhouse, and I would highly recommend a sty there is visiting Limerick. We will be back!
