Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the best massage experiences I've had - Marlene was extremely professional and thorough and I felt transformed after the Voyager Massage I received. Lost track of all time and space and would highly recommend to anyone. The spa was an intimately lit and serene environment.

Went for a spa day, chose the mid week magic and omg it was magic.. All the staff made me feel at ease and made my experience all about me, Pricilla was the lady that performed my treatment. What an amazing lady. Thank you and I will be back!. There are different treatment packages at different prices so you can chose which one you would like. You can use the foot spa, sauna and steam room and relaxing room and showers, free of charge, it's recommended you arrive one hour before your treatment to take full advantage of this but you can also do this after your treatment, thanks again

This is a quaint hotel that has perhaps some historical charm to it but because of that it also comes with some drawbacks that may be more important to the modern traveler. There was not air conditioning which was not a problem while we were traveling but it could be with the increasing heat in the summer. Also as many people may have a car, there is little to no parking and the street parking requires your car to be moved during the day. I also hated that there was no coffee maker in the room as I am an early riser. But that all said, the hotel was very helpful in regards to these quirks. For one, they generously allowed us to park in front of the hotel the day we had a tour and could not move our car and then they moved our car to their small and limited parking lot. They also will serve you coffee at the bar downstairs as the person working the front desk early in the morning will make it for you. The location was nice albeit off the beaten path but it made it quiet too.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have air con in 15 of our 20 guestrooms but the heritage rooms housed in the listed building do not have air con so we have some fans for the summer time. Typically they are only require=d for 1 week in the Irish summer. The building naturally keeps quite cool in summer months and many guests actually enjoy this and those big sash windows permit natural air flow. Next time we can of course give you a club room with air con . We offer freshly brewed complimentary coffee for resident packages so guests can enjoy a cuppa with fresh milk and our home made cookies. Our Car park accommodates approx. 12 cars and we have free on street parking all evening and all weekend including day time at weekends. Again thank you for your words and we hope we can have an opportunity to welcome you back again

No. 1 is a fabulous hotel, but many hotels are gorgeous so what makes the real difference is the people who welcome you. From the first minute we arrived it felt like we were meeting old friends. Seamus and Damian were just fantastic. They set the standard for perfect customer care. We loved every minute we stayed. This hotel is No 1 in not just name but in every aspect a hotel should be. We'll be back.

My favourite hotel in Ireland, not just Limerick. Have been 3 times over the past few years with friends and family, and regularly recommend to others. The staff, the building, the area's history, the warm cozy atmosphere - a great place to stay this time of year. Perfect for a mini-break, with museums, the park, and lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The highlight: the spa!

We spent 2 nights here. The staff were excellent and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere around the place. You could see the staff enjoyed working at No.1 Pery Square and there was friendly banter between them. We were in the bar area a few times. Seamus and his team were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived down after lunch had finished on the Saturday and Seamus sorted us out with some delicious spiced tomato soup and homemade brown bread. We had a treatement and then lounged in the thermal suite. All in all we had about 2.5 hours of pure relaxation and recharging, Jade gives an excelent full body massage. We ate in the Sash restaurant one evening and the food was delicious and to a very high standard. The focus on local and organic suppliers where possible was something I really appreciated. Thank you to all the staff for helping us to have a really relaxing time at No.1 Pery Square.

The location is superb. Close to the train/bus station and away from the bustle of city traffic. Adjacent to the peoples park in a Georgian terrace. A great place for a solo traveller. Parking was not ideal, as it is across the street and down a lane. The staff at 1 Pery are friendly and helpful. My room was the perfect size, not too big and definitely not too small. No view, but I wasn't there for the view. However, looking across at another guest room was not something I wanted so I closed the curtain on that window. The other overlooked motley flat roofs - not picturesque. The bathroom had both bath and shower, which was excellent. Less than excellent was the lack of a shaver outlet for my electric toothbrush. And the sound effects from other rooms/other guests trying (?) to lock/unlock their doors was disconcerting. However, all was quiet after midnight. I would definitely stay here again. Then there was the Spa.....now that is an experience all in itself. I would recommend this spa to anyone. It is so quiet, peaceful. The treatment I had was over 1.5 hrs. At €135 I considered it very good value. Back neck and shoulder massage with full facial. You HAVE to try this. I chose a strong massage as I can't be dealing with faffing ... and it was amazing. My facial skin felt totally renewed afterwards. Go..go...you have to try this. Wonderful staff and everything had a calm unrushed quality even though they couldn't find my booking (made by the front desk) when I arrived.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at 1 Pery Square. The hotel is tastefully furnished and decorated. The soundproof windows and comfy bed ensured I had a good sleep. The staff, in particular Alessio were very helpful and welcoming. It smells great too - the scent of aromatherapy oils can be detected throughout the hotel.
