Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous carvery! Super friendly staff (Thanks Jonathan and Peter!) So reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit and we’ll be back for sure. The staff popped over a few times to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed, something that doesn’t happen a lot these days. Great customer service. Keep up the great work and thanks for everything!

I stayed at the king room for around 10 days in total. The hotel is relatively far to the city center but it is a small city so, I would not complain. The distance is around 2.5 km without much attractions along the way. The room on the other hand, was very comfortable. It had good lighting and sufficient amenities. Housekeeping is also fine. The restaurant offers good food, with decent portions but at an above average price. Helpdesk people are friendly but it is a big hotel and your requests may get lost in the employee circulation. The main problem for me was the weekend prices. It is nearly double the week-day amount, which does not reflect the overall quality of the hotel.

During my stay, travellers run into the hotel and caused havoc. they had their dog standing guard at the door. meanwhile, the parents were across the road, lighting the rubbish on fire. I am appalled that this standers is accepted in this hotel. also, during my stay, I found what appeared to be human faeces in the bathtub. this is horrendously unhygienic, and I almost threw up when I saw it. I believe that the towels had not been washed as they smells like barbecue sauce. there was what appeared to be semen stains in my bedsheets, which was a lovely surprise.

Stayed here for two nights and it was okay…the breakfast on both mornings was good staff very friendly, Claire was so welcoming and helpful! Checked into out room and we were disappointed with the bathroom. It was very small and there was no lock on the inside of the bathroom door. Bath plug hole was full of hair and bath had splats of paint in it. The sink was badly cracked and the hand soap was broken off the wall. The radiator had drink stains on it. It’s only small things but makes a difference. They said they don’t provide facecloths so the room only comes standard with two hand towels, two medium bath towels and a mat. No hair or body wash and both bottles in the bathroom were hand soap. Our bed linen was very clean, bed was comfortable and housekeeping were lovely and accommodating as much as possible so this is not a housekeeping issue. We told reception on checkout so I just feel it is only the right thing to do to give feedback for future improvement. Again staff were so friendly and the leisure facilities are fantastic, rooms need more attention for the price you are paying, the rooms are definitely not worth it!

I travel regularly through Limerick and this year started using the Maldron Hotel instead of staying in the city center. It's a great place to stay, clean rooms, friendly service and a great breakfast. The food in the bar is also very good. The accommodation team, Svetlana and all the girls provide a great service and are very helpful. I will certainly be using this hotel more often.

Arriving at the hotel the staff could not be more helpful. After commuting that morning for work and forgetting a charger the staff went above and beyond with helping to make sure everything was sorted. Sarah and courtney on reception staff were so friendly and got that issue sorted which they went out of their way to do! 👌 Olga and the bar/restaurant staff were amazing i couldnt fault the customer service!! 10/10

I know there's nothing they can do about it, but the neighborhood is terrible. It was a bit to hot in the room during the night, so we had to keep the balcony door open. Street noise was actually pleasant comparing to barking dogs from those travellers farm opposite the hotel. Three nights spent there and I can forget the sound of howls. One of them sounded like it was being raped or wanted to be. Staff was friendly and helpful, but not very welcoming at the lobby, pretending to be busy all the time. Prices for the drinks during the night were enormous. Food at the restaurant was quite nice. Room itself was rather modest and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest thing in the world.

On a couple of occasions recently I have had breakfast at the Maldron Hotel Limerick and on each occasion, I have very much enjoyed my visits there, the staff members Jonathan, Louise, Jody and Claire are very helpful, friendly, hard working and not forgetting the kitchen staff and chef who work so hard there, I hope I'm not leaving anyone else out. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced and very good. The dining area is very clean and all the staff there are kept busy. The hotel is very clean and credit to the cleaning staff who keep the toilet facilities throughout the hotel so clean.

Awful hotel even by Maldron standards. The pool area including changing rooms and sauna were filthy with peeling paint on the ceiling and dirty floors. The 'room service' needs to be collected from the bar which isn't exactly room service. The breakfast room is so small and badly laid out that when busy you are climbing over people to get to a table. The whole place also smells of stale cigarettes
