Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We rented two rooms for a one-night stay. Location was in a residential area, but not too far from town center, even though we drove in. Rooms were clean, everything was provided including coffee/tea service, and the breakfast was excellent. We arrived early and spoke with the owner; our rooms were ready even though we arrived early (shortly after noon). Everybody was very helpful, and we would stay here again.

My family stayed the night while on vacation. Service was friendly, rooms were clean and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. If you stay here, it is a very short walk to the downtown for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Wonderful bed and breakfast experience!

My husband and I and another couple thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosquil House. Rhoda greeted us warmly and supplied our favourite breakfast in Ireland and Phil kept us entertained chatting with us in the lounge. An easy walk to many restaurants and plenty of parking. Our room was lovely.

Very enjoyable stay. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Very friendly hosts. Parking at the house which was good. The breakfast was superb with excellent cooked breakfast and plenty of choice. The location was good. About a fifteen to twenty minute walk into the city, but most of it along the riverside which was pleasant. All in all a good stay.

Warm welcome, gracious hosts, wonderful breakfast, quiet, comfortable, convenient location and parking. Yes, perfect! We were on the last leg of our trip and had a bad experience at a local hotel. We found Rosquil House and had an overwhelming sense of relief. We felt safe, at home and comfortable. We were able to easily access Kilkenny. Phil and Rhoda are amazing hosts, informative and conversational. We would absolutely recommend to family and friends and will visit again someday!

This was our third stay this year. I've always believed the only true sign of a positive review is the one where you ask yourself, "would I go back there?" Well there's your answer. You can run an establishment like this where everything is perfect and still fail so easily at the final, and most important hurdle, the genuine effort of the hosts to make you feel welcome and engage with you in a personable and heartfelt way. Phil and Rhoda are the perfect example of this and remember, this is something that can never be faked. Kilkenny is a beautiful city and Rosquil is at the heart of everything that's good about it.

This B&B was charming. The rooms were clean. It was very quite & well kept. The most memorable thing about this B&B were the owners. They have a great life story that hopefully you can coax out of them. The breakfast was superb. They offer a variety of omelettes & a full Irish breakfast by request. Delightful!

We were travelling from Belfast to Cork and decided to break the trip in Kilkenny. I booked Rosquil House and it was a great choice. The room was huge and very clean. 10 minutes or so takes you past a shopping centre and several pubs and brings you to the river and castle, so it's very central. The bed was fantastic - I haven't slept as well in ages! There were great choices for breakfast - individual bowls of fruit/yoghurt/muesli etc - and I also had an omelet. B had a full breakfast and has said that it was the tastiest of our whole trip, so there you go. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in Kilkenny

We had a long awaited family night away in Kilkenny and we booked four rooms here in Rosquil House. It is the first time in a long number of years that we have stayed in an Irish B&B and it was fantastic. The Staff were great and very helpful even when we called to book. The rooms were spotless and larger than your normal hotel room. The room contained Tea & Coffee facilities. There is a sitting room downstairs that is a nice place to relax. The Breakfast was fantastic with a good choice and the full Irish was very good. Nice quiet place outside of Kilkenny. 10 to 15 Min walk to city. I would recommend staying here and I will be returning myself.
