Second stop on multi city trip to Ireland. Lovely house that only reopened a few weeks prior. Owners are a lovely couple who really go out of their way to not only provide a great facility but also friendly and helpful. Rooms are very large with en suite bathrooms (ours had both a shower and bath tub). We happened to be there during a warm soellsand the lack of air conditioning was a bit rough, and you can only open the windows when it is dark so the night bugs don't come inside the room. Breakfast was a full Irish option and they have tea, coffee and sweets available 24/7 which is a nice option. Short 10 minute drive to the heart of Kilkenny, which has lots to do and can be explored by foot. Parking at this B&B is easy and sufficient. Make sure you confirm, your reservations a few weeks prior directly with the proprietors as they receive bookings from an outside company so you might not receive communications from them depending on your email settings. We would definitely stay here again when back in town. Overall a very pleasant experience and well worth the cost.

We visited this lovely bed and breakfast in early September, 2021. It is perfectly situated and allowed us to tour the area with ease. It's just a short drive to Kilkenny City. The parking at the b&b is terrific. The rooms are well appointed. Everything is clean. The bathrooms have everything you need. The breakfast in the morning is second to none. The proprietors are fabulous people that you will enjoy speaking with if you choose to do so. I recommend this establishment highly. We hope to return to Newlands Lodge during our next visit. It's perfect.

Thank you for taking the time to post a lovely review of your recent stay with us at Newlands Lodge. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed the experience and that you appreciated the lovely surroundings of Co Kilkenny and the sunny southeast of Ireland. We are very fortunate with our location, surrounded by so many medieval sites and history in this area, never enough time on one visit to see it all, we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Warm wishes, Mairead.

This is a really nice b&b around 10 minute drive outside of Kilkenny. As long as you have a car though that really isn’t an issue. Also the area around is stunning. The host was lovely and very helpful and the breakfast was superb. The room I was in didn’t get a WiFi signal for some reason on my iPad but did on my laptop however it worked very well downstairs. Well worth staying here.

Yes, we are very lucky to live in such beautiful countryside, yet just a short drive to the medieval city of Kilkenny, the best of both worlds . Thanks again for recommending Newlands Lodge to other travellers. Mairead.
