Welcome to The Hoban Hotel Kilkenny, a vibrant place to stay, meet and socialise. Located within Kilkenny Retail Park, the hotel is just 15 minutes walk from the famous marble city. Following a 1 million euro renovation programme, the lobby, bar, restaurant have been completely transformed and we’ve introduced brand new menus with a choice of delicious food and drinks in 1801 restaurant and bar. We have also refurbished our 4 conference rooms making them the ideal spot for training, interviews and meetings. Car parking and Wi-Fi are both complimentary. We have 80 spacious guest rooms suitable for corporate guests, groups of friends or families. We also offer fully accessible rooms for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility. Our team make the atmosphere of the hotel what it is. Down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable, we are here to help.

I can honestly say on behalf of the boys and myself we stayed at this hotel last weekend and had a blast. Rooms food and staff were great. I must say it was the best weekend in a long time. The barman Massimo was excellent and extremely friendly looked after us all night and had the crack with us he’s a great guy and delighted to have had the pleasure of meeting him cheers for a great night Saturday mate. Myself and my family stopped for dinner at the Hoban hotel over the weekend after a long drive home we were greeted by Massimo and showed us to a table.He was very pleasant to deal with and made us feel very welcome.He gave the children pages to colour in which they were delighted he was very friendly and helpful towards us the children really enjoyed their visit as so did we. The service was very quick with no rushing us out it was very relaxing the food was delicious, I even enjoyed 2 drinks at the bar from the lovely Rose.Massimo and Rose are a credit to your hotel. This was a very nice hotel. We were only there for one night, but we were very comfortable there. We had Dinner in the restaurant and thought it was good. We also had the complementary breakfast, and we thought that was a good value add. My favorite part of this stay was the shower. The water pressure was incredible. The location is fine. It is in a safe area, but not within walking distance to pubs, so you will have to drive or take a cab into town. The front desk staff was very friendly.

One night start in Kilkenny- Hotel is on the outskirts of Kilkenny City within a large business park - plenty of parking and it’s free! Check in was fast and efficient, Lady at the desk was very chatty and explained all the services the hotel had to offer. Bar/reception area is very modern and plenty of seating especially if you are working. Rooms are modern with very comfortable beds, nespresso style coffee machine, teas and biscuits etc. Large shower was quite nice with very nice toiletries 😌 Will definitely return.

Located in a business park area past the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny. Reception was welcoming and friendly, a wonderful habit of the residents of Ireland! Rooms, clean with a strong hot shower. This place boasts the most comfy mattress, pillows and comforter. A truly sound sleep is guaranteed! The accompanying restaurant, the 1801 Restaurant and Bar had a varied menu with all the wonderful Irish favs…try their version of fish and chips…you won’t be disappointed! Excellent food, staff and all around grand service. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely dinner here the food was amazing me and my partner had the beef was like butter and our server rose couldn't do enough for us and advise us to get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and was amazing the place was spotless and all staff are friendly highly recommended this place for dinner

Clean, decent breakfast, amazing coffee machine in breakfast room. The only real con was that it is aways from the action in town. It was quiet, but not really walkable to get to town. Would definitely stay here again and I do recommend it, but if you don’t have a car just be aware.

This hotel is very convenient and comfortable - a great place for weary travelers. Most of all, though, the staff are amazing. The gentleman in the restaurant was extremely friendly and helpful in responding to our many and varied questions. And then, when I had impossible difficulties in an online ferry booking, Jessica at the reception desk, provided endless assistance in accomplishing the reservations on our behalf. She was able to navigate the complications involved and successfully assisted in our arrangements. Absolutely above and beyond any expectations and gratefully appreciated. The staff absolutely make this establishment.

room spotless,lovely bar/lobby/restaurant, breakfast could do with more healthy options,there was only one carton of oat milk, thats it, no soya milk or rice milk, full fat yogurts only, no low fat yogurt ,fruit consisted of prunes pineapple and berries thats it,no bananas apples pears nothing like that,very poor on the fruit,stayed here a few years ago and there was a lot more choice for cold breakfast, pity it has changed

Lovely clean modern hotel. We’ll laid out. At the edge of a retail park at the edge of town, which suited us. Dinner was nice with prompt service. Staff were friendly and courteous and food well priced. Ample parking. Room was spacious very clean and modern with lovely rain type shower. Also a Nespresso machine with cartridges which was a nice touch.
