Welcome to The Hoban Hotel Kilkenny, a vibrant place to stay, meet and socialise. Located within Kilkenny Retail Park, the hotel is just 15 minutes walk from the famous marble city. Following a 1 million euro renovation programme, the lobby, bar, restaurant have been completely transformed and we’ve introduced brand new menus with a choice of delicious food and drinks in 1801 restaurant and bar. We have also refurbished our 4 conference rooms making them the ideal spot for training, interviews and meetings. Car parking and Wi-Fi are both complimentary. We have 80 spacious guest rooms suitable for corporate guests, groups of friends or families. We also offer fully accessible rooms for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility. Our team make the atmosphere of the hotel what it is. Down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable, we are here to help.

Booked this hotel last minute as a stopover on a road trip in Ireland. Hotel is very modern and the room I had was huge! Plenty of on site parking and a nice big inviting reception area. Breakfast was lovely and the staff in the dining room were very attentive! I would love to come back to this hotel, exceptional value for money!

So my wife and I and some other family stayed here while traveling in Ireland. Very comfortable hotel I uave to say, the rooms were nice and clean, the shower was exceptionally nice, it was an open shower concept with half of the shower inside glass. Lots of plugs in the room for charging devices as long as you have the required adapter. Couple of downsides the room stayed hot all the time even with the window open we couldn't get a decent breeze unless we had the window and the room door open. And there is no fan in the bathroom sucking out the moisture, so that moisture just goes into the room. Overall though I would absolutely stay there again there's a bar in the lobby that has a half a dozen beers on tap, as well as a decent liquor cabinet which was great if you just want to sit down for a pint. Honestly it was a great hotel and I would highly recommend it. 4 out of 5…

Clean hotel with a really cosy bar and outdoor seating area. Check in and out was fast and friendly. The room was fairly average but the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was good!! Breakfast was buffet with a good tasty selection, the coffee was nice.

First of all, let me mention the staff were top notch! We got into Ireland very early in the am, and were exhausted from our travel from the US. The hotel was wonderful about accommodating us and letting us check in early. This allowed us to take a nap before checking out the surrounding area and activities of Kilkenny. The restaurant and bar in the hotel were superb! Definitely recommend.

Horrible customer experience. Front desk attendant almost double charged me for the stay. She handed me the handheld credit card machine to pay when she should have directly charged hotels.com. Turned me off quite a bit. Be wary of employees that maybe don’t know how to fully do their jobs. Room was ok, spacious, clean, no central air, but you can hear everything.

We don't live very far from Kilkenny but decided to book The Hoban for a 2 night getaway due to how reasonable the prices are. "You get what you pay for" certainly doesn't apply here. The rooms are nice and the beds are really comfortable. The staff through from check in, to the bar/restaurant, and housekeeping are all very polite, friendly and chatty. We booked direct with the hotel and because of that we were given a voucher for the bar for a complimentary drink, which we thought was a really nice touch. We had dinner included on one night and the food was very tasty with massive portions. Breakfast was lovely too. All self service, including the tea/coffee. They have a coffee machine that makes cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate etc and the coffee from it is very good. As well as the usual hot buffet, they have a lovely selection of cereals, pastries and freshly baked scones. The sound proofing in the hotel is very good and we were never disturbed by other guests. The hotel is set in a little retail park with a few shops, but the city center itself is only a 5 minute drive, so definitely well located.. We were due to go away to another part of the country in a few weeks, but instead we have canceled and booked into The Hoban again. We can't wait to return. …

Stopped in for coffee & scones one morning while shopping in the retail park and the menu was so good we opted for eggs Benedict and pancakes with bacon & maple syrup instead. Excellent friendly service, great food & coffee, covid checks in place, and a really relaxing environment - what’s not to like?! A fantastic spot!

The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and are so welcoming The rooms are super comfy and are immaculate I had dinner which was so nice and staff lovely The breakfast was amazing. No shortage of anything and service was excellent What more can I say. I can’t wait to stay again

You will not find a better hotel in Kilkenny! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms and great food! I stayed here with my wife and three kids and everyone loved the place. Within walking distance of Kilkenny town its the perfect spot for anyone travelling to Kilkenny with (or without 🙂) kids! Highly recommended
