Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family stayed with Helen at the start of our tour of Ireland. Her home was clean, ready for us early and she was so accommodating that we were able to use her kitchen to prepare a family dinner. I highly recommend staying with her if you are looking for a true Irish welcome and a convenient Kilkenny location.

We stayed in the laragh Bnb during the week and absolutely loved it. It is hotel standard, the room was fab and comfortable. We had a lovely relaxing breakfast. The host made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. Would highly recommend a stay during these tough times as she was cleaning a lot and there was plenty of hand sanitizer . We will definitely return

Lovely place to stay. Terrific value. 10 minute walk into the centre of Kilkenny. The rooms were fresh and clean. Spotlessly so in fact. The provided breakfast in the dining room was generous and the hot food was freshly cooked to order. The owner Helen, and her team went out of their way to be helpful.

We traveled from the US to Dublin then to Kilkenny. We arrived to Helen welcoming us with such warmth it was like we had known her our entire lives. We were a group of 10 and had arrived to stay for 7 nights and Helen and her staff were fabulous. The rooms were clean and spacious. We woke up to a hot breakfast every morning (My husband loved the traditional Irish breakfast while my son was sold on the crepes, I loved the fresh fruit and roasted tomatoes). We soon found that if there was a problem call Helen and she would solve it for you. We feel lucky to have stumbled onto the Laragh House because it was perfect for our family.

Helen was the ultimate host, taking care of our questions and needs all along the way!including making a recommendation for a great place to listen to live music. The house was super clean and tidy and had all of the amenities we needed. It is a nice walkable distance to the center of town.

We had a lovely stay, the room was clean and the beds very confortable.
Both guests are really welcoming and the breakfast they made was tasty and generous.
A very nice and quiet place to rest when you visit Killkenny for the tradfest (just 15 min walking from the old town center)

Myself and my partner stayed in here for one night with our little puppy Tiger. Helen is a wonderful host who couldn't do enough for you from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. The guest house is spacious, clean and stylish. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning before we left. Will definitely return for another stay.

We spent two nights in Laragh House, August 1st and 2nd 2022. We were a couple with a large Golden Retriever. We found the house to be very clean, the breakfast was excellent. The location is very close to the centre of the exciting city of Kilkenny. However the welcome and hospitality offered by Helen, the hostess, was outstanding.Helen genuinely cares about her guests and will guide them to make the most of their trip to Kilkenny. A 10 out of 10 from for the Laragh experience.

We spent one night at Laragh House in April, while touring in Ireland.
Helen was so kind and accomodating with us. She gave us a warm welcome and took the time to share some recommendations to visit the city!
The room was large, very clean and we were served a hearty breakfast!
I highly recommend Helen's B&B in Kilkenny as I'll be glad to come back one day!

Felt very safe COVID-wise for our first stay in Ireland. Helen was a lovely host. Breakfast was the best we had in Ireland, Beds for comfy and the room was large enough. Only negative was the last 2 people showering didn't have enough hot water, but we made do. Easy parking.
