Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for three days when Mr Bob Dylan and Mr Neil Young had a concert in Kilkenny.
We had some communication with the very nice Yvonne Dalton, before we traveled to Ireland, because we had some special wishes regarding food allergies. Everything was arranged in the absolute best way.
The breakfast was perfect and the small fridge was filled with everything you need for breakfast. There was also a lot of local products.
When we arrived, a smiling Yvonne welcomed us and gave us all the info we needed for a great stay in Kilkenny.
If we go to Kilkenny again, it will definitely be at Butler Court.

We are huge fans of Butler Court’s beautiful courtyard and clean, comfortable rooms, and their location is perfect for enjoying all that Kilkenny has to offer within easy walking distance. Yvonne makes us feel so welcome and she always goes the extra mile (or 10!) to provide excellent service! We love that breakfast is provided in-room because it allows us to get ready for our day at our own pace. (The yoghurt is the best we’ve ever had!) Of course, Bo, the sweetest 4 legged greeter, is always a highlight and we love giving her some belly scratches! On this particular visit, we were delighted to run into John across the street at The Blue Bar and enjoy a pint together! We will continue to stay at Butler Court for as long as Yvonne and John will have us and highly recommend it!

Really nice and comfortable room in the heart of Kilkenny. Yvonne has been a perfect host providing us useful information about Kilkenny and the surrounding area, with both tips for sightseeing and dinner recommendations. The fresh breakfast provided in the bedroom was of high quality and quantity

Butler Court is the perfect choice for a Kilkenny visit of any duration. Owners Yvonne and John are the ideal hosts, most considerate, indulgent of all requests (we had to stay a couple of hours beyond check-out, no problem whatsoever), friendly without being obtrusive. The breakfast in one's room is a unique feature that pleased us very well. The controlled gated entrance is reassuring, though the city scene could not be more peaceful. Great location, great walks, great B&B--a great experience!

Had a too-brief stay at Butler Court because of our itinerary.
Yvonne and John are genial hosts, abetted by their friendly dog, Bo.
The location is perfect for a visit to the medieval section of Kilkenny.
Our room was nicely appointed, a small refrigerator and delicious local yogurt enhances your options for a bite in your room. The dining options out the door are myriad and there is do much to see within walking distance.
Heartily recommend a stay at Butler Court when visiting one of Ireland’s prettiest cities.

Delighted with our accommodation in Kilkenny. A lovely welcome from Yvonne (owner). Great room and facilities. And so central. Very tasty continental breakfast left in room with fresh fruit, homemade bread etc. Definitely a place to return to. Thank you Yvonne and John.

Very spacious, pleasant and very clean room located around a pretty interior courtyard
Very central location for visiting Kilkeny with parking 50 m from the B&B.
Yvonne gives you all the necessary explanations and tourist information.
Breakfast is prepared in the fridge and eaten in the room.
Personally I prefer to be seated at a real table to eat my breakfast.
The products are fresh and quality (no cooked products - eggs, bacon, etc.)

First of all, we were made very welcome by Yvonne and John on our arrival.
The accommodation was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. The continental breakfast was served in the room and everything was very fresh and tasty.
Although the accommodation was perfectly located right in the centre of Kilkenny, it was very quiet and we had a perfect night's sleep.
We can't wait to return, and we would have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation to anyone. We look forward to our next visit.

We stayed at Butler Court for two nights in May 2022, which was an ideal amount of time in Kilkenny. We received a very warm welcome from Yvonne and Bo (the greeter dog). We immediately felt "at home", as if we were guests of an old friend.
Our room was comfy, with a King bed and ample space. The Continental breakfast (in the fridge and on the counter) was more than ample.
This is an excellent location, with a great area to pull up for check-in and luggage drop off. The nearby parking is easy to get to (with Yvonne's directions) and felt very safe.
There are excellent books in the office about area history and attractions, which guests are welcome to take to the rooms. More information than one could possibly absorb, but it's great to have the resources to peruse. Yvonne was very helpful, when we were departing toward Kinsale, advising us of the best route.
It did not matter to us, but if you are particular about hair dryer air "volume", bring your own (with an adapter).
We would definitely stay here again, and we will not hesitate to recommend Butler Court to friends and family. Kilkenny and Butler Court will remain a memorable part of our two weeks in Ireland.

Yes, I think so. But just ask Yvonne 🤗
no, I don't remember that there was one.
Sorry I hadn't noticed this question before! I would c all as the owners have their own dog in the premises.
Contact them through their website. We made our reservation 3 months in advance. Not sure how far ahead they take bookings.
