We stayed at Butler Court for 2 nights of our honeymoon. Location is perfect, right near the castle and the main strip in Kilkenny so you can walk right on down to Kyteler’s for nightly music, or step across the street to the Blue Note for more local flavor. John and Yvonne were charming and welcoming, kept up communication rapidly and clearly, and were genuinely helpful when we asked advice.

What a wonderful place. We felt so at home there. It was within walking distance of bars, restaurants and retail. Free parking. Super friendly owners. I found this through a recommendation by Rick Steves. He never gets it wrong. A fantastic choice.

We stayed at Butler Court in September for 2 nights. The hotel was comfortable and in a great location for walking to the castle and seeing the town. Breakfast was provided to each room and parking is a few blocks away. We dropped out bags and then left our car in the parking area for the few days we visited.

Yvonne runs the hotel and is a wealth of information. She provided numerous suggestions about places to visit that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The rooms are clean, reasonably sized and the bathroom had strong hot water. Breakfast was supplied in the in-room fridge (due to Covid) and was superb - very good yogurt; delicious brown bread with butter and jam; fresh fruit; cereal; OJ. A short walk to the various sights (Castle, churches, art museums) with free parking close-by. I'm happy we stayed here and happily recommend it.

This a quaint hotel in the center of Kilkenny, a five minute walk from Kilkenny Castle. They have off street parking, a locked courtyard and really good breakfast. Do try the brown bread. Yvonne is a great host and a wealth of local information.

Great place to stay. Perfect location right in Kilkenny center which I would call a large town or small city. Rooms were very comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent to start the day. Yvonne was a wonderful, friendly host with a great sense of humor. She also gave us helpful recommendations on places to eat and also to hear live music. Kilkenny is a wonderful place and when we return we won't hesitate to stay at Butler Court again! Thanks

Butler Court in Killkenny is in a great location and our host Yvonne was very helpful with the area and beyond on our way to our next stop. The rooms were super clean. the in room continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful each day.

Nice clean rooms. Right by downtown, but enough off the street to be quiet. The in-room food for breakfast was great -- I snacked on it all day. Best of all, the owners were so kind and friendly and happy to help.

We stayed 2 nights with Yvonne. The location is fantastic, the hosts are very accommodating and nice, the room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Breakfast is in the room fridge, as others have described but that was not a problem at all. Parking was easy (in the courtyard of a hotel across the street), the card access gate is reassuring at night (since we had our windows open), and the map provided of the city highlights was helpful. I hope we can go back to wonderful Kilkenny - we would definitely stay here again.
